Lee Morgan - The Sidewinder
it has a similar boogaloo jazz feel as Ah Um, and because the whole album grooves, it was very popular when it came out. great, accessible jazz.
Dexter Gordon - GO
with Sonny Clark and Billy Higgins, a bebop masterpiece.
both of these albums are part of Blue Note's Rudy Van Gelder (RVG) series. he's considered one of the finest recording engineers in all of jazz, and he remastered a slew of Blue Note's classic back catalog.
