Unfortunately this has happened a few times since but just tuning it on and off several times seems to eventually fix it...

P.S. The app you want for the Zen Stream is the Stream-iFi app

Yes, that is the link to the only proper software for the Zen at the moment.

This is a very simple app meant for USB or Local file playback, along with access to the settings and update menus.

All other services with the exception of Qobuz utilize their own app.

For the USB 3.0 input (for a flash drive hard drive) on the back of the IFI stream, is it only usable if I am in All-in-One mode?

Can I still somehow access the attached flash drive if I am in Mode 5?

No sorry you can't Using Mode 1 is the only way that I know of to access that area, even for settings.

I *think* Roon has finally fixed the problem a past update caused with the ZS. I did a Roon update this morning and haven't had a single dropout in 3 hours of listening. I sure hope this is the case. We'll see...

I owned one for a month just over a year ago - my most frustrating product in my 52 years in the audio hobby. I am sorry to see so many issues still remain. I labeled it a perpetual beta product, and it appears I wasn't over stating it.

I bought an open box Cambridge Audio MXN-10 Streamer for $399 about 5 months ago, and it never ever drops anything, goes on and off when you turn it on and off. It also took about 4 minutes to set it up, and its 35 feet away from my WiFi and goes through 2 walls, and a fridge. The "zen" never worked remotely either - even 3 feet with nothing in between.

Your description of the MXN10 could be used to describe my ZS, which I've owned and used for two years. Guess I was lucky! It's good to know that the MXN 10 is also a good choice. Plenty of options in the market now. My take is that streamers have come of age and will soon be like cel phones, just marketing functionalities and the illusion of being the next best thing.

So I joined the club and have two questions

- Should I upgrade to 2.32.9, or stay on 2.31.7? I only use Airplay and some say Airplay1 is better than Airplay2, but I'm also curious about stability and quality
- I've noticed rather regularly I get audio drop for about a full second randomly, and seems to be within a minute or two of connecting. Is this a known issue?

I just tested it out again, twice, near the end of the first song I listened to, I lost connection for a second and the ifi browser clock reset its count. (airplay on my laptop didnt disconnect at any point so it's just on the receiving end)

The best products ifi makes are the Zen Blue Bluetooth, and the power supplies. Everything else is junk.
