Do you mean different specs in that PDF versus those published at a product's site?
yes. so can you please state what the actual figures are?

also how does one plug their android phone into this? the phone in question is an OPPO A5 2020. i dont want the phone doing the conversion, just sending the file to the zen so it does the work.

Friends, congratulate me, I bought Zen Signature HFM set! :))
:fireworks::fireworks::fireworks:

I hope you have a picture?

What do you like? I am very satisfied!
1. Beautiful, nice boxes! In reality, it is much more solid than in the photo!
2. Very beautiful, powerful, sound that leads you along and does not allow you to remove the headphones! Yesterday my wife pulled me away from the computer at 3 o'clock in the morning))
3. Pleasant backlight that does not burn out the eyes in the dark.

What's not to like?
1. Placing the headphone plug next to the volume knob. Not comfortable to rotate.
2. There is an imbalance in the channels at a low volume level. The right channel plays, the left one is quiet. If you make it a little louder - everything levels out.
3. HFM and XSpace buttons - it's better to turn them off. The sound is better without these "toys"

Questions to @iFi audio
1. Zen Dac volume knob backlight color. When I listen to Tidal MQA I see green. When I listen to Tidal "Master" I see blue. In all other sources, the color is yellow. I downloaded music DSD 64, 128, 256 - the color is still yellow. And it is stated that at 256 it will be red ...
Here is a link to download the music archive (3.5 GB), active for 7 days. Look here please!
2. The Power Match button works curiously. There are 4 modes: 0, 6, 12 and 18 Db. The official website says that you need to set the volume knob to 12 hours, and select the Power Match mode in which the volume will be comfortable. And I understand that this is an increase in power. However, the higher the Power Match is set, the wider I feel the scene, and I hear more details. If you just turn up the volume at the first level of Power Match, then there is no such effect. How to choose the right Power Match mode?

I'll ask internally about these specs and I should have them somewhere after this weekend. As for connecting your smartphone, you need a cable that would go from it to your ZEN DAC V2.

1. Here's how all LEDs should look like: https://ifi-audio.com/led-calculator/

In short, your ZEN DAC's LEDs display audio streams the product gets from your transport. If you see yellow instead of red during DSD512/256 playback, this means that what your ZEN DAC receives from your transport isn't DSD512/256.

2. Both channels balanced, usable volume range and volume knob position roughly in-between 10-13 o'clock during normal listening levels are the goals. And yes, some headphones open up when they get more power and that's what you might be experiencing upon setting PowerMatch higher and higher.

Hope this helps!

I have several tracks and my player (Foobar 2000) defines them like this:

when playing all these tracks, the LED is yellow.
Perhaps I have configured something wrong in Win 10 or in the Ifi Zen drivers (firmware updated to version 7.30)?
Here is a link to download these audio recordings (3.51 GB). If it's not difficult, try it on your equipment - what color of the LED will you have?
Thanks!

the info would be great thanks.

you are saying i need a USB-3 B type to C type cable to plug my OPPO A5 2020 into the Zen and all will be well?

tbh i'm more interested in the DAC side of things but the headphone amp side would be a bonus. while my phone does a sterling job of things it lacks that little bit of headroom. i have a Schiit Asgard 3 for backup but i would rather have just one piece of equipment on my bedside table. the headphones i will be using are Beyerdynamic Custom One 80R. i also have a pair of DT880 600R but i very much doubt that the little Zen would drive those. oohh i'm also toying with the idea of making the Custom One's Balanced.

This is most likely related to what your OS sends out and I'd also fully remove your Foobar (with registry entries etc.) and reinstall it.

You also need to use an external 5V PSU (such as our iPower), but other than this you should be good!

Oto link do pobrania tych nagrań audio (3,51 GB). Jeśli nie jest to trudne, wypróbuj go na swoim sprzęcie - jaki kolor diody będziesz miał?
Dziękuję!

Foobar doesn't have native support for DSD. You need to install this plugin:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/sacddecoder/files/foo_input_sacd/

Yes, I did it a long time ago. The point is that DSD files play normally. But the color of the LED backlight on the Zen Dac Signature V2 does not change. When I listen to YouTube, MP3 (320 Kbps), FLAC, APE, etc - there is always a yellow backlight.
I have only seen LED backlighting of a different color in Tidal (blue and green).

In a foobar do you have selected output to ASIO:ifi (by AMR) audio device?

You also need to change SACD>Type, because it's default on PCM.
