Awesome. Loving my iPurifier2. And iUSB, and iCAN SE. Guess you can tell I'm quite a fan.

Not yet. Then again I haven't compared it with my Chord SilverPlus which I'm very happy with. Got my sights on the iTube though but I hate to pull the trigger only to find out ifi's coming up with a newer version, just like they did with the nano iUSB3. Urgh.

What will interesting is if somebody can eventually compare the nano to the micro hooked up to the idsd through their laptop, using gemini cables to, say, some senn hd650. I know the Nano still relatively new, so such a comparison may not come for a bit.

Still waiting for my nano iUSB3.0 to arrive. Dumb question, does the USB from the source (e.g., PC) have to be USB 3.0 or can any USB type + cable work?

looking forward to your review...esp those who've tried both the nano and micro side by side.

i did ask iFi that i'm probably not the only person interested in it, so to please consider a
a cdn tour (heck why not make it NA) ...and was told someone would get back to me.
so...fingers crossed.

Hi,

We have a global network of 30 distributors and several hundred dealers. We have to arrange things through them - so please bear with us as we will do our best to try to arrange. No guarantees. Best if you just contact a local retailer (online or in-store) and ask to borrow a unit. No need to wait for us!

thanks, guys....however, the only iFi retailer in my area that i know of wont
bring in the nano version...too small a niche item.

Would this be a good fit for the Grace m920?  Thanks!

Other folks have noted that even the humble iPurifier2 improves expensive amps. I love my Micro iUSB3.0. I'm sure you'll love the Nano iUSB3.0. I say go get it. Go get it now.

This area of usb conditioners is sure growing....iFi. Uptone regen

...now the wyred4sound recovery. https://wyred4sound.com/products/digital-converters/recovery

this said, however, my rationale for the nano, which i'm leaning towards (or a used micro isub 3.0):
I like the design and am already an iFi customer, having the iDSD, mercury and now gemini
cords (and heck: both the nano and micro 3.0 have the dual slots for my gemini,
wink.gif
)

would be great is there was a comparison amongst a number of these conditioners...
sometimes seems that unless you're an electronics engineer you can't truly understand
this stuff.

one headfier sent me this helpful info per a thread I started...
(BTW he's an electrical engineer by trade who has majored in audio design and worked as a professional audio, acoustics, hardware and audio DSP design engineer for about 12 years before moving into fiber optics.  Still have fun with audio design as a hobby (building an ncore amp as we speak).''

and would love to hear iFi's op:

"By far the best usb treament is to isolate the ground between the source (eg pc), and the dac.

Cleaning power and reclocking are nice, but are an order of magnitude less effective than true isolation,

including the ground. The ground is a power supply feed as well.

Isolation comes in several forms, galvanic (tranformer based, solutions I've seen tap out at 92 khz), optical (pricey), silicon.

In my system in lowered the noise floor (quite audibly), and significantly cleaned up the audio quality.

Theyre especially effective if the source is safety grounded (3 prong ac plug)
