Hey guys I'm thinking about getting one of these and saw it has rca outs. If I connect the idsd to the iPad 2 via the camera connection kit and then RCA's straight to the receiver, will it pass the dsd without pcm conversion?

IPad 2 >> idsd >>reviever. Can I get dsd with this setup? I will NOT use the spdif cause it only passes 24/192. Thanks guys

The RCA-out only outputs analog signal, not digital. Since it is analog signal, of course it would have already passed through the DAC (and the whole digital-to-analog conversion, either PCM or DSD) inside iDSD nano. The setup you want will be using iDSD nano as the DAC and the receiver as the amp.
