iDSD Signature is a bit different, and in its own thread you should be able to see some feedback from users who managed to compare them.

We'll certainly discuss this once we can, but after releasing iDSD Signature and iDSD Diablo we have no new info at this time

Hey, there! I'd like to know the best settings to use sensitive IEMs like CA Dorado 2020.
Is it ok to use them in Normal mode and turned off iEmatch at low volume?94 dB SPL @ 1kHz: 18.52 mVrs
10 Ohm @ 1kHz Impedance

You should use settings that would result in usable volume range, where you can precisely increase/decrease signal to your liking.

I got iDSD Micro Black Label today, two important questions:
- To use it as a normal dac / amp from my smartphone, do I have to set DIRECT or PREAMPLIFIER?
- Can I safely charge it from my smartphone charger, 5V 2A?

- Direct is fine.
- The BL has no dedicated charging port. The USB port on the side of the device can be used as powerbank to charge your smartphone or stuff like that

Hi, in case anyone has any input or had the same problem: Yesterday seemingly out of the blue, the DAC crapped out and decided to only work on one channel! This is my iFi Micro iDSD Black Label mfg. about 3 years ago, I got used early 2020. I very thoroughly checked the audio source, headphone cable, swapped headphones, and this happens regardless of which audio signal is sent to it from their RCA coax or USB: sound on only one channel and what does come out sounds like it has a sort of bloated soundstage or the likes.
I also tried moving all of the switches to every possible position, but to no avail.
What really makes this strange is that the iDSD still outputs perfect signal as an amp with an analog source on the input, so it's like the internal DAC is broken; half way to be precise. I thought to update the firmware (which I've never done), if there's any option to do that? If so, how?
Regardless the iDSD is the best little innovation I've ever come across and solves MYRIAD of problems for portable and transportable use, so if need be I will definitely buy another one... Is the newest version the best??

@iFi audio or anyone - feel free to PM me or post here. I wasn't able to download the firmware because my serial number wore off, which the ifi website asked for

We have two products above iDSD BL. There's a micro iDSD Diablo on the very top, and iDSD Signature that is iDSD BL's direct successor.

Hello, there are a couple of questions for the owners of Ifi black label:
1. Is there a constant background noise in the low impedance 16 ohm power hungry headphones? ("normal" mode, there is noise even without music, slightly increases with increasing volume. In turbo mode, the noise is very loud).
2. Are there any lucky ones who found original parts, namely a 3.7 volt 4800 mA battery and an iematch switch? (I have a switch rustling, it also introduces channel disbalance. I tried the contact cleaner - it doesn't help for long. I think the switch is the source of the noise ...)
P.S. Wrote in support of Ifi, they couldn’t help. To eliminate noise, the idefender and ipurifier devices were proposed, although I think it should not be in the black label without them. And they refused to say the model of the switch, apparently there is a mark "Top secret" (although this is not funny to me).
