I'm in the market for a day/amp. Many reviews had wonderful things to say about this one. The one negative I keep hearing is the 1-4 second silence Everytime you start a new song or audio from any new source starts.

My question is. Does this issue still exist and if so, how annoying is it.

Thank you

and for the second question. Can I stream MQA from my android phone (Galaxy S6) to Micro ?

YES! Now on Android USB audio player pro, video about what's what incoming soon!

Only from waking up. This can be bypassed if sleep firmware (5.2B) is installed.

For clarification. Is this behavior only from waking up from sleep or restart which would be rare and essentially not a problem, or did you mean something else.

2nd: is the sleep firmware ifi's official firmware. If so then I assume the problem is fixed which would be excellent news.

Thanks for your response.

1. It's about coming back from sleep.
2. Yes, it's our official FW.

Hey guys please dont shoot me if already answered.. Just upgraded the latest MQA firmware update.. (Is that Freakn CRAZY... Thanks iFi !!!!) And felt weird to read the micro Black Label as "legacy"... Anyway, is it normal for the yellow light to be on for ALL tracks played? It doesnt change wether I play Mp3 files, regular Tidal High Fi files, Master files..just stays yellow, use to be green, thinking it should be green for non MQA files...no?
So I reinstalled drivers just for the heck of it and still constant yellow light, yes I have all the settings checked off for exclusive Tidal use, except for the MQA, we want that rendering going on  I then tried using the Topping D10 I have and sourced Tidal to that and the Topping to the Black Label via coaxial, and now no matter what I play its with the green light O.o so I don't know. Could be anything I guess. So really hard to tell when MQA is really on, even if that light just gives you a placebo affect...so what, without the light changing your just there feeling like you flashed updated firmware for nothing. Oh well, maybe something I'll catch later on.. To be continued!

i am using my IFI micro DSD BL as a desktop dac/amp. is there is any disadvantages of keeping the usb cable plugged in all the time. will the battery life be affected if i leave it plugged in and never use it with battery power only.

You want to keep the battery topped off, leave it plugged in, battery will weaken if left semi empty. Same for Smartphones and walkie talkies.
