In my opinion this is not what that person was looking for ...
Our headphone calculator displays output power with a specific load for our device of choice

When I click on your link, I get to the page for selecting power supplies for Ifi devices, and the person wanted to know how many mW the black label will give in eco mode at 300 Ohm.Can you please clarify what's on your mind here? Thanks!
Maybe someone will follow that link and check it himself, I doubt that the problem is only with me. Although if this is so, then sorry in advance for the noise raised, I just wanted the person to receive the information he needed.

OK, now I understand, thanks for pointing that out that a wrong link was provided. Here's the correct one: https://ifi-audio.com/home-2/headphone-calculator/

I just need exact number in mW in 300 Ohm, not that calcHi there! Please use our handy power calculator found here: https://ifi-audio.com/home-2/power-calculator/
There upon selecting your headphones of choice and one of our devices you can see its power output into that load.

I've been using it more for it's amp section.
May I ask how you use the Black Label with the external DAC? Is it simply a case of connecting the DAC output into the 3.5mm jack on front of the unit with an RCA to 3.5mm adapter (like this one?)
Cheers

The answer to your question: in eco mode at 300 ohms, the power is 15.6 mW.

That's correct, micro iDSD BL with its Eco mode engaged outputs 15.6mW into 300 Ohms.

Yep... I either do that if it's a RCA-DAC output or if it's something portable like the Apple dongle, then a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable does the trick.May I ask how you use the Black Label with the external DAC? I've not found the internal DAC of my unit to be very good or perhaps it's a flaw with my unit, but iFi recently received my unit and inspected it and recommended that I change the entire board and quoted around a US$360 price for the new board, without battery. For that price, I could buy a decent condition 2nd-hand unit or just get a new Micro iCan SE since I rarely use the DAC on my BL anyway!
In any case, I think it's worth experimenting using different DAC/dongles with the BL to see if you get a sound that you like/synergy.

Although we fully support such experiments, beating BL's internal DAC isn't easy. It sits just next to the amplifier circuit and extremely short distance between these stages factors in.

Has anyone compared the idsd black label and the xduoo xd-05 bal? Was the more modern Chinese able to bypass BL, or did the miracle not happen?

Although I don't recall seeing these two products compared, that would be very interesting for sure!
