Today my unit start to flash blue and red. I do not see this in the manual. What does it mean?
@iFi audio any ideas on how I can stop this draining issue? I'm running 5.2B on the iFi, and a generic OTG USB-A to USB-C cable .Hey all, just a few queries after owning my BL for about a month'ish
I flashed to 5.2B, however my Samsung S8+ running 8.0 states "Android system : USB charging connected device" and still drains my battery, have I missed something? I'm using an OTG cable.. Have I got the wrong one perhaps somehow? I remember with my Oppo HA-2 I needed a particular cable that had the charging pin removed / disabled or something of the like... Or am I just missing a setting in android?
I also installed UAPP (USB audio player Pro) to get access to a equaliser for Tidal, however it seems to have disabled sound in all other apps with the BL plugged in... So I'm unable to hear anything on YouTube for example, it may be the wrong place to ask about that here.. But worth a try
It's a shame there's no easy way to tell how much battery the device has left either, as my primary use is away from home.
Other than those issues, I'm absolutely loving this unit!
Thanks!

I know with my Oppo HA-2 I had to get a particular cable to stop the charging thing, but I was hoping the B firmware would fix this... But it hasn't sadly

I hope you can help, it's making listening to music on the go absolutely painful 30%+ battery drain per hour.

Will it provide it's maximum power (4wt-16ohm) using PC USB power supply without using it's own battery ?
I find it hard to believe :\

micro iDSD BL is based on our proprietary power related tech aka. 'smart power'
When lots of juice is needed, USB power + battery are at work together to deliver what's needed.
What's the maximum power that USB can provide independently from the battery ?
Is there a switch to switch the audio output from the 6.3mm to the RCA L+R ? to easily switch from my headphones to my speakers without running them at the same time

Using a standard PC USB port (500mA) during music peaks that hit maximum output, the battery will be drawn upon, in fact in Turbo mode the whole unit draws around 700mA idle, which can't be supplied via USB from a PC.
A powered hub with BC1.2 battery charging rating (or iUSB 3.0) will provide sufficient power (1.5A/5V) to charge the battery to full in normal use with music, though the highest peaks may still draw some power form the battery.

Thank you <3 but what about my second question

I recently purchased the Nano BL and intended to use it with my Samsung Note8, but can't get it to play at all. I ordered an OTG cable from Amazon and also paid for USB Music Player pro, neither of those have worked either. I tried a number of different developer setting as well, no luck as audio player or midi device.
Light is yellow on Nano, no music output
I sent a request into Ifi support yesterday, they haven't responded. I have a limited amount of time before I have to return the item.
Is anyone else using a Nano with Note8? If so, what did you do? Any similar issues?
Any help is much appreciated. I've spent hours trying to figure this out and am about to give up.
Thanks to anyone that can offer a suggestion.
I have a question about the BL. I tried it with many IEM, and I found that in many of then I had to use an impedance adapter. Without the impedance adapter, I got a terrible sound from BL, without any bass. Some of the IEM's that I tried:
DZAT DF-10 (16 ohm): Ok only with impedance adapter
Rock Zircon (16 ohm): Ok only with impedance adapter
KZ ZS5 (18ohm): Ok without impedance adapter
MEMT x5 (16ohm): Ok only with impedance adapter
PMV A-01 MK2 (16ohm): Ok without impedance adapter
My old Sennheiser CX400II (16ohm): Ok without impedance adapter
DUNU DK-3001 (13ohm): Ok without impedance adapter
XIAOMI PRO HD (32ohm): Ok only with impedance adapter
No saw no problems with headphones at all.
I tried all the configurations (switches) of the BL. The only possible solution was the impedance adapter. I used this one (75ohm):

Anybody know what could be the reason?
Before I forget, I have a Mojo also and everything works without any problem. I don't need to use any impedance adapter to make IEM's work well with it.
Thanks!
You do know that the iDSD BL has IEM match built into the amp as a feature don’t you?Omg, the problem was related with the headphone adapter. I changed it and everything works beautiful now. It's good to know...
Thanks again!
