Here are my impressions.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. If not, I'll remove it
All good, thanks!

Dont know but when you put it on the sub bass kicks hard without messing up the mids and treble.
That's the beauty of it!
Yeah, I kinda feel that, I just feel that the effect is stronger when listening to the music at low volume.
If the boost is a fix number, it means that the bass boost will have a different bass/mids/treble ratio depending on the volume level.
Not necessarily a bad thing, but just a note as I feel that the implementation of the bass boost is excellent!
I think the XBass is the most useful extra features of the unit!

Previous units came with no feet installed
I also love that X-Bass feature, it tunes some of my headphones to a better signature for my ears
NEver been a basshead, but I love some deep bass when it is asked for! I need the whole sound to be perfect, and for a ligther headphone, the X-Bass does hit a sweet spot
BTw, I agree with your review, iDSD BL is not pocketable, it is transportable. I always used a side back and wouldn't place this in a pocket, but it is like, the best transportable thing if you want a large DAC/AMP with a ton of powaaaah, so it does tick some boxes just right for me
3 hrs on the go, walking, trains, buses, and taxis. With TH900 headphone plus 4 basketballs, coned and extra clothes. In 53 yrd old I can do this 4 days each week.
With all due respect to the Nano Black Label, who said the Micro Black Label isn't portable?
Great! But it's easier as an headphone amp than as a DAC.

You must be
1. Taller than me
2. Wearing larger clothes than me
I can't fit something like this in my pockets would be literally impossible
Xiaomi Mi max 2 is already a big strain and I generally wear a wallet on a jacket or a different bag, maybe my jeans are too tight XD
This is the most I could do, but this is amazingly good for me. I am using this same purse for every single DAP I am using and I consider that nothing connected with a wire can be pocketable, be it smartphone or something else. I do keep things in my jacket pockets, but never in jeans pockets. Most of times by jeans pockets would easily snap a wire from tension alone...
