I'm really surprised at how good the ifi supanova cable is. I have it plugged up directly into the wall outlet from my headphone amp and it sounds better to the wall than when it's connected to the ps stellar power plant 3 on both regen and high current. It sounds cleaner through the powerplant, however, it also sounds slightly "bleached", not as dynamic and less engaging. I'm really impressed with the ifi supanova cable. I wouldn't recommend plugging the supanova into another power conditioner if you are using an amplifier, just plug it into the wall if you are able. YMMV.

Yes, it's true that some products (usually amps) perform better when they're connected to a wall outlet directly, and that's when a good power cable becomes critical :wink:

I just got a DC blocker for my DAC which was showing all the symptoms of DC offset in the mains: buzz from the transformer, intermittently, during different times of the day. I was a bit sceptical (please iFi, don’t take offence, but I usually don’t like your marketing) but i have to say it did the trick. The DAC is silent now and I can’t perceive negative effects on the sound…good job.

None taken, all good :beerchug:

That's good to know. DC blockers can be real lifesavers. Usually they're fair bit bigger than ours, which makes it a particularly appealing low-profile soultion that works as intended :)

Yeah, absolutely. The main benefit is not having to use another power cable, which can be expensive.
I only needed to to put something under the cable + blocker to avoid snapping the IEC connector. Here’s an idea for the next product: an adjustable cable support…couldn’t find anything on the market

@iFi audio

Safe to use a silentpower dc blocker on a power conditioner (APC H15)?

Getting quite a hum and looking for a solution. Looks like a great product.

Sure, please use it whenever an audio product's transformator humms.

I am using it with my PS Audio P12 power conditioner with good results. I had a hum that the DC Blocker eliminated.

I bought one dc blocker and connected it to my audioquest niagara 1000 power conditioner. From my Lake People RS02 that have an toriodal transformer it have improved the sound even though i never had any hum.

I hear more detail. Details i havent heard before and details i have before more clearly. It heard it was easier to follow the rhythm and sounds more calm and sorted. Vocals and lyrics i can hear more clearly. I think it open up the sound beacuse more clear details and left- right stuff. I think that mechanic/metallic sound that your listening to an amp has been removed more, someone mentioned better timbre. Its not night and day but subtle still a hifi bargain imo. Just listened for some hours. I wonder if it will improve the sound from my tv optical out to hugo 2 dac. Everything is connected to my niagara 1000.

In my setup i could not hear any restrictions in dynamic. But i wonder if it would restrict it in a Yulong DA1 that in its marketing says: Main power supply is a fully discrete voltage regulator circuit that delivers transient current up to 15A.

Yes. This combo has an excellent synergy with iFi equipment, such as your Neo iDSD and iCan Pro Signature. I use this combo with my OG iCan Pro and OG iDSD Pro.

I am considering the supanova for the iPower Elite... I am new to this game, honestly I tried the iPower Elite expecting minute improvements but it transformed my M17 into something else so I wonder...

What does it bring to the table? I mean the iPower Elite is pretty great in itself...
