Which power supply were you using before?

The one that came in the box, 12 Volt cheap looking product.

S booster on my Dac. The value of this little streamer with quality power attached is off the charts.

Indeed, we got a lot of feedback that ZEN Stream's performace scales really well with PSUs and also DC voltage. Some folks like to use power supplies rated near the upper limit (15V).

Im using a 9v ipower x with great results too!

Definately performs better than the stock 12v adapter.

I just put my stream aside till all promise updates shows up such as chromecast and airplay 2. I’m using wiim mini and so far no issue.

Today I am using Tidal connect again, rather than going through Roon, and it is very noticeably better sounding.

Today I am using Tidal connect again, rather than going through Roon, and it is very noticeably better sounding.

I noticed this a while ago that tidal connect sounds better then going through roon

I have this same issue but only once after each reboot. If i stop until the light goes off and play again it works properly until next reboot. I mainly use roon but noticed the same behavior with Spotify and tidal natively.

I‘m using ZEN stream with a Pro-ject Power Box Maia on the 15V output (measured real 15.16V) and it also works great so far…

My math tells me that they cost two times the Zen stream. Not sure why you think it is funny, but I already had the USB cable before I bought the Zen. The power supply is on home demo, so I have a couple of weeks to decide if I want to keep it, I will.
I downgraded my source a while back to fund new speakers, so the Zen is a stepping stone for me, eventually I will get a DCS Bartok, or Mola Mola Tambaqui as my source.

I would consider a lumin streamer with those dacs personally, the U1 comes with a LPS.

You don't have to explain, looks like I'm judging you but it was not my original intention. I apologize for that. Your money your honey It's just the idea of spending more for a cable vs the hardware that sounds a little bit weird from my point of you.
But I have the same problem when I have to spend my money on records even if I have the same album on CD or digital format. It's called the monkey and everyone has his own one.
