you where thinking to send music to ZS from your win pc.
having a NAS is a much better solution to stream files locally, and TBH never heard any differences vs direct streaming via USB which I can hear in other different occasions.

I have only 700GB music on my hdd. This days I’m enjoying with Tidal connect mostly. But I also have some very good music in Flac (from 44.1 - 382.8khz). And some DSD albums.

I didn't buy the ZS for these, but I might be a bit alarmed by this statement if I did. This sounds pretty different from the following quotes on the iFi site :
- "Roon only - feature coming soon - ROON ready"
- "Chromecast to come in a future update"

100%. This is not a good move from IFi. This might actually be covered by the EU legislation on misleading advertising.

No IFi here with the switch set to DLNA and rebooting.

You are right! Switching to mode 1 and then switching back to mode 5 will do the trick.

Here any decetable differences would be due to how that NAS is powered. A better power supply for it could audibly improve what you hear.

We hear you folks and just to update and clarify: ZEN Stream is now being tested for Roon Ready Certification and Chromecast will be looked at after this is sorted.

Hello,

Before ZS I had Node 2021. I wasnt satisfied with Node 2021 SQ. BlueOs was great and superior to ZS, but SQ of ZS is much better.
