I'm thinking of buying the iPurifier to connect between my ageing laptop and the Zen Dac. But does the Zen Dac already have iPurifier tech? Will there be any point in putting the iPurifier in this chain?

Would putting an iPurifier in the chain mean I would need to power the Zen Dac from a PSU as it couldn't use USB to power it?

Our ZEN DAC has some features of the iPurifier built in, but the iPurifier itself would work better. If you were to add an iPurifier to your ZEN DAC you should be able to hear a sound quality improvement.

Our ZEN DAC and iPurifier will work together without the need of a PSU

Unless I am missing something the new drop product is going to be a stack of 2 units rather than a single unit, so don't worry it's a new product in the zen dac chassis.

It is at its best with the HD6xx as it comes with a very nice custom EQ for it.

Looks very exciting though and if it is affordable a real game changer for people getting into the hobby. If drop and ifi can offer a bundle of the HD6XX and this new zen stack for 450-500 bucks it will be a big deal. If its 400 bucks that would be real crazy value but I wouldn't expect it to be that low.
