1. NEO is not suitable for sensitive IEMs.

Not with this one (Earsonics S-EM6 V2, 30 ohms, 112 dB/mW ) - background noise on 4.4 (same was with Zen DAC). Signature is the only choice for them

I had the ZenDac combined with an iFI Purifier3. MQA files could not be played because of the stuttering. Without the Purifier3 no stuttering. Tried everything to solve the problem but I didn't succeed . In the end I changed the Zen Dac for the Neo and I'm very happy I did. No stuttering anymore with the MQA files and far better sound...As a standalone DAC, how would the NEO compare to the Zen DAC Signature? I'm coming from an iDAC2 (again, used only as a DAC).
Thx...
Have the same but powered the Neo with the iFI iPower elite with is a great improvement in sound....I'm using the PowerX to power my Raspberry Pi4 which in turn powers the NEO
I'm wondering why there still is no Mac version of the firmware updateI’m wondering why the Neo 1.35 firmware update was removed from the iFi website?
No, nothing is wrong with NEO).
I just want to echo to the post above that NEO is not for all IEM.
Some are too sensitive for it.

I few things I discovered about the NEO iDSD:
- it can be USB powered (I forgot about the power adapter and it still worked)
- it is a damn good balanced DAC (you are practically getting the amp for free)
- native DSD works fine with RoPieee (if you use Roon and Raspberry Pi)
The ATH CK2000Ti has the same issue too.OK, I hear you
