Few month in, I didn't touch the EQ but I kind of listen to Tidal as a primary source and the RME is not MQA capable, not sure what I'm missing on though.

I am using Tidal, but I have started digging into the whole MQA thing and more and more I realize that is an "evil virus". Also as it is vaporware you should not be losing. I want to stop supporting it with my money. It is absolutely the wrong direction. Maybe I will switch to Amazon HD for this. Or just listen to Tidal Hifi, which unless they intentionall downgrade from CD quality, should not in anyway be a lesser sound.

Definitely the wrong direction but it'll be out there for a long time unfortunately.

Sorry, besided, the EQ is not there for you to play with it everyday. The EQ is there, so you can adjust to your headphone and personal prefrence. Then leave it like that and enjoy the sound signature that you like.

Sadly I liked it as it is, maybe the adx5000 could use a bit of a bass boost but it becomes slightly boomy.

Please visit www.ifi-audio.com, then scroll down to the "support" section of each our DAC's page. There under the "manuals" tab you'll find technical documents, where we extensively explain why we do what we do.

@iFi audio: thanks for your reply.

well, i followed your instructions. this is where one would end up, at the Support section of the Neo iDSD's page:

https://ifi-audio.com/products/neo-idsd/

there is no "manuals" tab, sir/madam.

kindly advise where to go next. thanks.

2) After the given amount of time has passed, each Head-Fier is responsible for safely packing the unit, shipping the unit to the next Head-Fier, and covering the shipping costs.

Just to clarify:
- Shipping between countries is more expensive than inside one country, do you plan multiple units (let's say 1 per country) or maybe you have a budget to cover some additional shipping costs for the international post services?
- Customs fee. What would be a value declared in documents to avoid customs fee in some countries?
Thank you.

I imagine they would ship one around EU. Shipping between countries here is cheap and there is no customs (except Switzerland and Norway).
Then I guess another would be shipped around, inside the US.

That is what I would do anyway. It stands to reason.

Africa is mostly out of the question, as you will not get it back (419) from the first person that you send it to in Nigeria and the likes. :relieved:

Asia is very tricky. Counter to common knowlage, China has very strict importation rules. Especially for electronics.

Declaring low value is illegal. How do you even imagine they would go with such option?

When I was sending some earsonics IEM for repair to France I wrote "Returner repair" with the value of 20 Euro. Illegal is when you buy and hide the real value but here is a testing/demo unit which you do not buy.
They may indicate a full value and cover the customs fee. This is also fine.

But I believe they will limit this tour to EU and USA only. Let's see.

For Russia they will send a unit to their permanent reviewer and that's it. As always.

Yes I agree. And the more companies like IFI support it the more established they become. It's free money for them, so they won't stop till they get paid the royalties.
But my point is if you are not using a MQA capable DAC on Tidal are you in fact sacrificing anything other than a purple led?
HIFI (CD standard) is supposed to be already at human hearing limits. How does a lossy codec really help with that?
I am just asking

You are wrong. I did not say it never gets through. It does many times, but it is illegal to. undervalue intentionally to avoid tax.
Also your case is a broken unit, so a bit more iffy.

Legally even if you are getting something as a gift, it must have the "real" value declared. That is just the way it is. if you don't believe me, go speak with any customs agent if you know any. This is not my opinion. I run a manufacturing company that ships world wide. I am sure we have a bit more experience about this than you do.

That's fine. I don't live in EU. As I stated above they can cover the fee if they want more reviews and not in EU only.
Or they (what is likely going to happen) will keep the unit within EU, US.

NEO iDSD was released just recently, so there are no papers about it just yet. But there are about other DACs and those are the ones you might want to read.

Very interesting.
1. Does the package include 4.4mm to 4PIN xlr adapter?
2. Can it support pure DAC or Dac only mode?
3. I don't quite like the 5V adapter. Maybe replace with 5V precision linear power supply.
4. Are there any reviews and measurements?
