Hi I signed up to Tidal Hifi today and had to upgrade the firmware to play MQA songs as the light wouldn't go magenta. After updating firmware the MQA songs play with the magenta light but ALL other songs are playing with a WHITE light. I've switched over to Spotify and the unit no longer lights green on songs, its stuck on white. It seems to be stuck operating on DXD PCM mode. Can you please help?

The white LED is due to the GTO filter, All PCM is white with F/W 5.30C.

If you don't want the GTO filter and want the old LED colours, use 5.30 F/W.

I have a Fiio x5 2nd gen and want to get the IFI Black Label. How can i connect the output from x5 to the input of IfI ? I am not sure how the above cable plugs in. Can you please help explain a little.
I want to know what cables to get both in case i want to use it just as an amp and if i want to use it's DAC.

You connect the micro USB end of that cable to your X5 and the bigger one to your iFi's USB input.

Maybe its a dumb question but how does it work with the micro USB to USB connection ? Will it use the ifi then as a DAC ?
I mean the little i knew i thought in order to take a digital input from the Fiio i need to use the Coax output. Especially if i was looking to use the external DAC.
Mine is a X5 second generation.

It's not dumb at all and to answer it: yes, in this configuration your X5 will act as a media storage only and your iFi machine will handle d/a conversion. Is this what you're after?

I am getting a Monolith M1060 i will get the nano iDSD Black label to use with my Fiio x5 2nd gen.

You can use either S/PDIF or USB inputs, whatever works the best for you.

If your Fiio X5 gen2 supports USB audio out, then you'll need an OTG cable.

X5 2nd Gen doesn’t have USB out. It does Digital Out only via SPDIF coaxial. A coaxial cable comes included with the DAP that can be used to feed the BL.

Oops. My bad then. Unlike the iDSD Micro, Nano doesn't have a co-axial input. You can't go coaxial to USB. I guess you'd need a DAP with USB out. Or you could use your smartphone.

Has anyone tried this cable adapter for the Nano BL? Is the cable connection/orientation for the 3.5mm TRRS male and 4.4mm Pentaconn female correct based on the illustration photo? Thanks!
