So after all the back and forth between diablo and dx300 and now sig, sig is the keeper. Again, in a blind test, don't think I could tell the difference between any of them, but sig has the xbass feature, so thats the kicker for me. None if them could run the he 6 se v2 well, but all run the Sundara just fine. Now, do I upgrade to Ananda with the savings from sig. Hmm...

Better to buy an used Arya instead of the Ananda 😉 Since the Arya v3 is out since approx. 3 weeks, many good offers will appear 😉

Does anyone know what the October 19 firmware is supposed to do? When I install it in my iDSD Signature, it reverts it from firmware 7.2c to 1.50. Am I missing something here or should I just leave it at 7.2c?

This firmware adds support for PS4/PS5 consoles. If you don't need this utility, please stay with either 7.2 or 7.2c and you'll be good!

Firmware 7.2 and above already adds PlayStation USB compatibility. So I shouldn't bother with the the latest firmware? But then what is the latest firmware for if 7.2, 7.2b, and 7.2c already have PlayStation USB compatibility?

So more dx300 vs signature and b and its sig for the win for sure. It just has a hair more ooph and crispness and thst xbass cannot be replicated with eq alone. Good stuff. I ordered a $250 TCL phone to be a permanently attached screen so I don't have to constantly unplug and plug my phone into it

I would like to report that while .pdf guidance is somehow missing, the latest xmos firmware supports up to 768 kHz PCM. It seems to me that with this firmware, the sound is a bit more neutral and natural than the others.
Thanks for the update. I was not aware of a newer firmware. What difference do you notice between this and the previous one?

I'm travelling right now and don't have access to a my PC or a Laptop so can't try for my self. Also, it's only 29kB right?

I use my old LG phone in a similar fashion. I've attached 3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fastner to my phone's case and it works well.

Roughly 27kb or 29kb if I remember well. A bit less chocolaty warm and more detailed which leads to the feeling of more natural and neutral sound.

No more abnormal harsh and loud sound at start up/ after long standby time with the signature on (long pause time) when listening to music of 768/705.6 kHz rates upsampled by software/app (Neutron MP in my case).

Shortly we'll have the list of changes.

Ok, so custom Dap using the Sig and TCL phone. Still has a 660 and 6gb of ram so should perform similarly to the dx300 with less software issues and has the better sound of the sig. Even came in blue. Held together with double aided 3m tape. Even about the same size!

Very cool, thanks! A smartphone used as a transport for any iDSD makes a lot of sense :L3000:

Your package is squite matched on size indeed
