Ok, so the 3rd set of Go-Pods arrived today (my 2nd replacements). Out the box and paired, but not a promising start. The right hand pod was once again omitting no sound. Fired up Gaia and noticed that only left hand pod showed as having a battery count of 100%, nothing showing for right hand pod. Put both pods in charger and checked after 10 mins, right hand pod had started charging thankfully. Waited till both pods showed 100% and connected and played some music, both pods playing music but the right hand very flaky. If keeping head stable in a sitting position it was fine, however the slightest head movement meant a momentary loss of connection in the right hand pod. My Samsung Galaxy s24+ settings are LDAC so thought I'd switch and try aptx classic, but this didnt make any difference, the slightest movement of head cut the sound for a moment till reconnected.
Changing back to LDAC from aptx proved problematic, sound not coming out left hand pod this time, only from right. Put back in charger, but this gave an even worse result, no sound from either pod. In and out charger again, this time sound from both pods but momentarily disconnecting on right hand pod when head movement. My settings for the pods are LDAC and best effort for Codec playback quality(rather than 330,660, or 990). These settings were recommended to me by ifi support.
The real test later will be when I take the GO-pods into "the real world" when I go for a walk tonight. I'm not very optimistic about how they'll perform given they are giving terrible results when used in optimum conditions in doors.

Guess I need to go and reopen my ticket yet again!

Well that was an utter shambles. Out for a walk and after 5 mins they had disconnected/reconnected about 20 times in 5 mins.
Swapped to my humble £30 Bluetooth wireless earbuds and they performed flawlessly.

Sorry this has happened again, I am at this point at a complete loss to explain why this is happening to you.

Does it happen with every IEM you use? Is there any possibility of someone in your home or a friend having a different phone for testing?

I will of course help in any way I can, just PM me if you need anything.

Cheers!!

Ugh. I hope this doesn't happen with mine. I'm optimistic that the set I currently is solid and I've gotten used to having them again. I really like this product, but the shakiness is rough.

Ditto pretty much got the so called fixed unit back today. Fired it up then pretty much the right pod went. Intermittently breaking up on another device. Was told it was dirt but can't believe this as have hardly been used. And the unit sent back I just have taken out of the box and having issues off the bat. Will try a factory reset tomorrow but shouldn't have to.

So this is all very interesting. At least three of us have the same problem. Based on nothing but a gut feeling I would guess there are lots more people out there experiencing the same who just aren't reporting their issues on this (or any other) website.

Tried on my wife's Sony Xperia 5 phone - same issues.

I just sent mine in today because of the same problem you are having. It sounds verbatim what I'm experiencing as well.

In an effort to narrow down what is happening, so I can report this even though you all had tickets in.

Let me pose these questions to folks having this issue perhaps we can see a pattern.

1. Make and Model of device being used to transmit to the GO Pods
2. Make and Model of IEM being used
3. Earloop Connector being used (MMCX, 2 PIN, etc.)
4 Music being streamed from (Files, Service, Qobuz Tidal etc.)
5. Are you using an app to play the music? If So which one (USBAPP, Neutron, Native App for streaming service etc.)
6. Have you made changes to developers' options to get a better higher rez. (LDAC 990 etc.)
7. Platform of device (Android, IOS etc.)

Thanks in advance for anyone answering, I think this is critical especially if we can find some similarities.

Sorry for anyone having issues.

Cheers!!

1. Make and Model of device being used to transmit to the GO Pods - Pixel Fold
2. Make and Model of IEM being used - thieaudio prestige ltd
3. Earloop Connector being used (MMCX, 2 PIN, etc.) - 2 pin
4 Music being streamed from (Files, Service, Qobuz Tidal etc.) - tidal/pocket casts (podcasts are downloaded on my phone, not streamed)/audiobookshelf
5. Are you using an app to play the music? If So which one (USBAPP, Neutron, Native App for streaming service etc.) - tidal
6. Have you made changes to developers' options to get a better higher rez. (LDAC 990 etc.) - I removed all these settings and went with the default/advised settings
7. Platform of device (Android, IOS etc.) - android 15 beta 3

Worth mentioning that I experience all these same issues on my Fiio R7. It also uses android, but v10 i believe.

1. Make and Model of device being used to transmit to the GO Pods. - Mainly Samsung Galaxy S24 +, but have the same issues on my iPad. And as I reported a few posts ago tried on my wife's Sony Xperia 5 and still same issues.
2. Make and Model of IEM being used - FIIO FH5 S
3. Earloop Connector being used (MMCX, 2 PIN, etc.) MMCX
4 Music being streamed from (Files, Service, Qobuz Tidal etc.) - Tidal, BBC Music
5. Are you using an app to play the music? If So which one (USBAPP, Neutron, Native App for streaming service etc.) Roon, Youtube
6. Have you made changes to developers' options to get a better higher rez. (LDAC 990 etc.) No
7. Platform of device (Android, IOS etc.) Android and IOS

I also have 2 pin connector IEM's (Moondrop Variations), and as I've said on here before they work perfectly.

1. Make models
Astell kern sp3000
Samsung ultra s23
Sony nw-a300

2. Audio 64 a18 = iem

3. Earloop connection 2 pin

4. Spotify, native music apps on Samsung Sony and astell

5. Have changed developer settings on Samsung to ldac also changed to lower codecs. Tried 1.3 avcp

Sony tried multiple codecs using connection priority. Tried 1.3 avcp

Astell tried aptxhd ldac. Note can't change avcp as cant access developer settings. They use their own os

6 Sony and Samsung andriod

Astell use their own but prob android based

@iFi audio you have requested us to give our settings can you give what setting you use for the Samsung ultra when you test them including any developer setting changes, Bluetooth codecs etc so can mirror them exactly to see if it makes a diff
Sorry, I am just trying to gather some info.

I am not privy to what phones they use for testing, I am in the US and not in the UK center, wish I could tell you more.

I keep reading about Android in general and Bluetooth issues all over, (this is the internet so go figure) As an example just google Android and Bluetooth issues, it will make your head spin, especially versions of Android over 11 or 12 I believe it is.

That is in no way an excuse, I want to figure out why folks here are having issues, as I said I do not but I am using a 150 Android phone (have it just for testing apps and so forth) I also have the same (I Believe IEMs as @gryffe ) and use them with no issues on GO Pods.

I am just researching this on my end sometimes I am good at seeing patterns, did the same with the ZEN Stream for years.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Cheers!!

Bubba
