Having trouble updating to 1.59. I've tried on MacBook & Sony 1AM2.

I've repeated each step, each download, 3 times at lest, and tried 2 different unzipping programs on the Sony.

1.59 is finally unzipped on the Sony and the GAIA app gives this error message. . Bubba / IFI can you please give some direction.

Anyone successfully update on a MAC to 1.59? Any help for either Android or MAC appreciated.

So I got my secondhand Go Pods. They sound great with my Thieaudio Oracle MK3s using LDAC on my iBasso DX180. I honestly like the size of the case since it will mostly live on my desk or in my backpack, never my pocket, but if the case is so huge, how can it not fit bigger IEM shells? Pretty frustrating, but I assume it isn't an issue since it seems to disconnect properly when docked. Does the Go Pod Air fit bigger IEMs better in its design?

I did have this one time, but I don't remember the version.

Try deleting all downloads previously put on the device, then do a factory reset from the app.

Once completed, redownload the update file and try the process again.

If this fails best bet is to open a ticket with support folks to troubleshoot. (I saw your PM)

If possible, I would also try a different device for the update, but that is what it got with mine. Not sure of updating with what you have unless it has worked for you before, tech would know better than I.

Hope this helps,

Cheers

Finally got my hands on the go pod air and have had no previous experience with the original go pod.......Mr Bubbahyde recommended posting my thoughts in here for any advice/recs.

Sound wise it's blown my tws experiences out of the water, if my experiences were based on just the sound these would be my my keepers for the foreseeable.

There are some niggles....LDAC via my S24 ultra is just a stuttering mess, I'm happy with APTX classic but there's clearly an issue there, there is no option for an online firmware update and I'm on 1.59 so im guessing thats up to date from purchase, the case is not ideal for storing with the iem's connected....yes you can manipulate the hooks but it's hit and miss getting them to sit so they can charge.

I'm really hoping that these will hold a connection on a flight ok, I think they're gonna be acceptable to block out noise as they go LOUD!! but whether they'll hold connection ok is another matter.

All good now. Used HiBy M300…. done.
Thanks all.

Thanks Bubba appreciate the support.
You're very welcome.

I will report to support as well, just in case it's a Sony thing, they can make a note of it.

Cheers!!

I am sorry, I must have overlooked...my bad.

I will ask the factory

Cheers!!

Thank you for looking into this for me!

Additionally, I’d appreciate any insights from the technical team regarding whether the ear-hooks of the GO Pod influence its functionality. Specifically, do they affect features like auto-detection of IEM impedance, TrueWireless Mirroring, or any other technical aspects?

Since I’m considering replacing them with a custom cable, I wanted to double-check—though I don’t expect it to be an issue.

I replaced the stock ear-hooks with custom cables due to comfort issues. The stock ear-hooks have more "clamping force" at the back of your ears

Try the ear hooks from the Airs, it might save you the trouble of going for a custom solution… Night and day difference versus the original hooks on the OG. I also ordered some new hooks from Bloom, and while they are not listed as the Air version, that’s what I got and replaced the ones on my OG Go Pods.

Wait, are you saying these (https://bloomaudio.com/products/ifi-go-pod-ear-loop-hooks?_pos=2&_sid=29a961d96&_ss=r) are different from the stock Go Pods ones? In what way?

Those look like the ones I ordered. They are much more pliable than the OG ones, and create much less pressure behind your ears.

I’ll try to take a photo and upload comparing the OG and the new ones.

Edit: Here is a photo of the OG (right) and replacement (left) hooks. Note that the OG are more "open" and might thus be assumed to be more comfortable. But, no. They are very stiff. The left ones, the replacement ones, are very pliable and thus more comfortable.
