Here is the answer I received regarding your "version" question

LHDC-560k (stereo) 900k (mono). Currently, V3/V4 is supported

Hope this helps.

Cheers!!

Perhaps the Go Pods are only "gold".

I am curious if anyone has connected the Go Pods to any device using LHDC at 24/96. They only connect to the "LHDC One" adapter at 24/48.

Does anyone know what the latest firmware version is? My app says I'm on 1.52 and says "please go to settings to update the device". When I go to settings there is no update available. I see references to 1.54 in this thread but looks like that update may have been rescinded? Is there a 1.53?

@ssantan2 Is correct here,

Please go to our download hub using the device you are going to use for updating the pods...

https://ifi-audio.com/support/download-hub/

Enter your serial number find the new firmware version, and download it to your device.

**Please make sure your device is running the latest GAIA before doing any updates**

Hope this helps you out!

Cheers!!

I’m wondering if the issue with the iFi Go Pod, which required it to be placed back in its case to power on, has been resolved. Some users have reported that they were unable to use the iFi Go Pod while on the move, as they couldn’t carry the case with them. This was due to the device automatically powering off and needing to be placed back in the case to turn back on. If it has been fixed, which update/patch fixed it?

I was having a bug on Android (Samsung Fold 4) where the Go Pod would just completely stop playing sound randomly (mostly happens after taking a phone call and then returning to listen to music). The Go Pod would still show as connected and everything seemed fine but no sound would route to the Go Pod anymore. Disconnecting and reconnecting Bluetooth wouldn't fix the issue either with the only fix being putting the Go Pod back in the case and taking it back out (forcing a power off/on). I ran into this bug not super frequently but enough to be annoying. It's almost like it doesn't want to switch back to normal audio listening mode after taking a phone call or something.

Tried reverting from 1.54 back to 1.49 which still had the same bug. Only going back to 1.39 which I was initially using seems to prevent the bug from happening. Perfectly happy with using 1.39, just a bit odd that only the latest firmwares are showing this issue.

If you downgrade the quality of the connection, does it increase range? If so, how do you do it on android? Through the GAIA app?

What @pervysage describes, has happened to me, as well. I am not receiving many calls but it has happened. I am talking all the time via WhatsApp with family and friends and there it does not happen.

I believe that downgrading below firmware v1.49 is not optimal. Firmware v.149 introduced the following:

1) Add QHS (Qualcomm High Speed Link) support. Added QHS support, with frequency response up to 40K.
2) Optimize the 990K code stream of LDAC. Note: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 or above CPU (high code stream requires high processor) can be supported.
3) Add high definition 32K calls. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 or above CPUs (high requirements for processors) can now support this.

It offered a significant sound quality improvement.

I am currently using v1.54 with no (major) issues.

Ty for the info. Is there any need to keep the case with you (e.g., unit not powering up unless put back in case)?

Not sure if this is what you are describing, but my Go Pods have starting cutting out from both working to only one working (usually right side), and when this happened this morning I noticed a notification on my phone flash up saying only 1% available and to recharge. This was despite the Go Pods still allegedly having 80% available.
Any ideas?

Please report this bug using our support ticket system so they can put it in the system, that can be done by submitting a ticket here...

It is always a good practice to report these things when they are found, I can report them but the ticket system is the best way.

Thank you!

Cheers!!

Kinda happens to me. Sometimes pausing works. Sometimes stopping from right ear then starting again from music app on my tablet.

Hi @iFi audio hope all is well i recently sent my device to get looked at ref the left ear piece cutting out. I'm still having the same issue intermittently. Also times when the connection drops out for both of them with a beep then starts playing again.

Note the device is right next to me and not in the pocket and I have tried diff Bluetooth connections

Also I have a shure wirless adapter which has no cut outs on the same devices

Can you take a look ref ticket 182965 Ps I have reopened the ticket thanks

Ps by the looks of it others are reporting the same issue so there is a wider issue in play. If it's a firmware issue can I revert to the original one to test if so how
