iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

While I look forward to taking delivery of my iFi Go Pod the user reviews of this app. are one star with some pretty critical commentary. Is it possible these are reviews about an earlier version??? I'm a bit hesitant to use this app. I do wish Apple would approve an official iFi app soon!
In the screenshot you can see the latest versions of the Firmware and the GAIA App.

i did the updating from v1.5.2 to v1.5.4 this morning. things went smoothly and both sides reconnected automatically after the process was completed. i played music for maybe ten seconds but than the right side disconnected. i checked and the indicator kept flashing green and red, indicating it;s resetting itself. but the process kept going on for >10mins. I tried to put both sides back to the pod and it charges normally. but taking it out the situation remains. the touch button of the right side still works and i heard the beep sound if press (though no connection). is there any way i can reset both side by the button alone (as the right side can't connect to the app) with a hope to get both sides to pair? i tried to hold the touch button for 12s as shown in the quick start guide but it did nothing. thanks in advance.

The Go Pods have 'revitalized' my custom iems. I can't get any kind of earbuds to stay in no matter how much I try. Kinda jealous and all the people that can.

Sorry to hear about your issue, if your signature is up to date, you have a ton of IEMs you could try and enjoy with your GO Pod!

If I were you, I would clean the GO Pod and the contacts of the case with Isopropyl Alcohol and make sure everything is fully charged.

I would then uninstall the GAIA App, reboot my device, and re-install it. I would then try to re-install the latest Firmware 1.54 (btw, I am not sure if this is even possible, I never had to do it, as everything always works perfectly with my GO Pod).

After all that, and if it still does not work, try to Reset it.

Note down all the steps you've taken, and if it still does not work, open a ticket at iFi Support.

Good Luck :)

no luck. i could connect with the gaia app with the left side but the app then only shows 1 option - the touch button sensitivity. i've tried long pressed the touch button of both side over 12s but it seems doing nothing. the right hand side just keep flashing green/red for a few mins before turning itself off. strangely, putting the right side into the pod it shows the normal charging red and blue light. i opened an ticket with ifi for 2 days but havent heard back from them yet. . . .

i'm just buying headfi as toys. not a critical listener at all :stuck_out_tongue:

@iFi audio I've opened a ticket for 2 days but there's no response yet. Could you please share the Hong Kong distributor's address so I could get in touch with them for repair? Thanks

Yes thank you, I just inquired today about the newer version for IOS and was told because of the apple process it does take a few weeks longer than the one we can release directly to our site.

Thanks for the question, and patience!

Cheers!!
@iFi audio "a few weeks" does sound like a lot. Perhaps for the impaitent ones you could release a stable version via TestFlight?

Question about charging status of the iFi Go Pods? My bluetooth headphone menu on the MacMini only shows only 56% charge. When I put the iFi Go back in the charging box there is no charging status light on the left and right Go Pod. According to the manual no light means fully charged. Am I looking at the correct place for the charging status on the iFi Go? Is my MacMini's readout of 56% charge left in error???

Am I looking at the wrong place to see the correct amount of power left on the iFi Go Pods?
