Question about charging status of the iFi Go Pods? My bluetooth headphone menu on the MacMini only shows only 56% charge. When I put the iFi Go back in the charging box there is no charging status light on the left and right Go Pod. According to the manual no light means fully charged. Am I looking at the correct place for the charging status on the iFi Go? Is my MacMini's readout of 56% charge left in error???

Am I looking at the wrong place to see the correct amount of power left on the iFi Go Pods?

I am fairly sure I see a red led every time I place them back in my case. Perhaps this is the state of the case? (Not sure)

Is your case fully charged?

Cheers!!

Yes, four LED lights on the right hand side of the case are fully on when I open the case. Edit. Also when I plug in the case to USB-C cable all but one of the LED lights on the side of the case are blinking. The remaining three are on and not blinking.

Yes, when I place mine in the case the red charging leds come on right away. I just checked this

What happens if you put a bit of downward pressure on the Pods (I do it near where the earloop connects just to make sure it's seated properly.

Cheers!!

Well Duh on me! ;) I was not pushing hard enough or adjusting the silicon earbuds so a good connection could be made! As of this writing the LED are flashing read. I'm embarrassed! Thank you for the wonderful help! I was panicking I wouldn't be able to take these on my next trip.

Not a problem my friend! I did it at first as well, being overly gentle I guess!

Follow-up question. Do the red LED lights turn off almost shortly After making the charging in process connection? I also waited an hour or so, and the charging light on the Go Pod units are not lit up. I’ll leave them alone until I get up in the morning and check their charge %. If not chargEd I’ll remove the Sennheiser IE 600 and try again in order to eliminate and poor contact I seem ot to be able to overcome. I really do love them, but of course I need to be able to reliably charge them.

@Jazz1

The ways I am checking the charging level of my GO Pod on my Android phone are:

Through the GAIA App, which shows me the charging level of the left and right Pod
Through Bluetooth under Settings
Via the Bluetooth Codec Changer App

I consider the GAIA App the most reliable

Do not confuse yourself :)

Make sure that your Pods are securely seated inside the case and clean the connectors with Isopropyl Alcohol, once.
If you have a solid unit, it should work. If it is defective, you can always open a ticket.

PS: And make sure you are on the latest Firmware and GAIA App!

Well... it's been a long time since I've used my Go Pod. The return and replacement took about two months due to complicated logistics, but today I have finally received it 🥳

I've spent just a couple of hours with it, just to update the device and to make sure all the basic functions are working fine. It seemingly does work properly this time.

Now I need to recall my previous experience and to form my final opinion about the GO Pod.
I don't think it will change much, but who knows 😁

Well after an overnight charge (the red lights did not stay on after initially placing them back in the case) I tried again to charge them. No Joy. This morning I tried turning the third party silicone earbuds skyward and got two constant red light. So maybe I finally got it. Note an hour later opening the case no red LED lights, or any LED color. I'll give them a few more hours and then check the charged status. One last try will be to remove the Sennheiser IE 600 and try once more.

I will also try the contact cleaning.

Thanks all for the help!

UPDATE: One last try here. The re-orientation of the third party SpinFit silicon earbuds did not fix the problem. As a last resort I've pulled the IE600's from the over the ear connection wires to the iFi Go Pod. I'm giving them a little over two hours and I will check them again. A side by side comparison of the stock IE 600 ear pads/buds show that the SpinFits are taller. As I've reported earlier I tried re-orientation of them while charging with no success.

If pulling the IE 600 IEMs off the over ear wire does not solve the charging problem I will attempt to send the kit back to the retail seller for a replacement or a refund. I may have to live with wired IE 600s. :triportsad: I can't be constantly pulling the IE 600 on and off just to charge them.

UPDATE #2: I'm embarrassed to say that Mathew at Bloom Audio may have figured out the basis of my failing to charge issue. He pointed out that the back of the iFi Go Pods have a tape/film over the contacts. I looked and looked, and finally realized there was indeed a mostly translucent. I pulled of the blue tinted film off and my iFi Go Pods now reliably light up red while in the charging case.
IMG_1559.jpeg

So I'm going to let these charge until later this evening, and see if they do go to 100% charge. Note I check the online Quick Start and full manuals. I didn't see anything about the existence of this tape. Maybe I need new reading glasses. Thanks all who have jumped into help. If the issue is fixed I will certainly stop posting on this subject. My holiday gift to you all!

Hi all hope all is well

Am finding the sound quality is fab on these though have been having issues

1. Sometimes the left earpiece will cut out randomly and the right one will continue playing. Trying to then press the button again so it reconnects fails and the only way to reconnect is to stop and start the music again on my phone. The buttons also become unresponsive
2. Note this has happened with both devices I use ie Samsung ultra 23 and Sony nw306 music player
3. Am using the latest firmware and on the Sony have tried diff Bluetooth settings

Not sure if this is a problem with my ifi go pods and require them to be sent back for repair

@iFi audio can you please advise

Thanks

This is happening to me, as well, but only when I am very far away from my phone, I have a Samsung S23 Ultra.

I mean, when I leave my phone downstairs on my desk and I go upstairs in the bathroom, near the window, one of the ear-hooks might lose connection and it stops playing.

This is also happening with my Galaxy Buds2 Pro, though! Those are disconnecting, as well, when I am on that specific spot, upstairs.

The problem is that the GO Pod does not reconnect when I move back into the Bluetooth range. My Buds2 Pro reconnect as soon as I will change position a little bit.

I am always listening to LDAC 990/909kbps with the GO Pod, whereas my Galaxy Buds2 Pro use SSC (Samsung Scalable Codec).

I think that the GO Pod should reconnect as soon as the user is changing position and not having to put them back into the case. I haven't tried to stop / restart playback, thanks for the tip!

Mine cuts out when my phone or portable music player is in my trouser pocket. The Sony player is worse and cuts out a lot in comparison to the Samsung ultra. Not sure if there is a fault with my ifi pods

Oh Wow, no this has never happened to me! When I am in the same room or even on the same floor, in my property, or when I am outside walking with my phone in my pocket, I have never-ever lost connection. I can move around inside my house, everywhere, and I never lose connection, besides one specific spot, upstairs, where sometimes (not always), it might lose it. Always listening to LDAC 990/909kbps, Bluetooth Codec Changer auto-loads the codec.

If you're not living or circulating in Electromagnetic noisy environments, I'd suggest to make sure your devices are fully updated, then factory reset the GO Pod and if the issue persists, open a ticket.

Yeah thanks will prob need to raise a ticket as have updated the drivers etc, done a reset etc though still have connection issues even when the device is in close proximity

As suggested before I would most certainly raise a ticket with support and they can advise you from there.

As @Nick24JJ said certain situations can cause dropout or unresponsiveness, even other devices, but best to point out the issue now in case you do need something repaired.

Cheers!!
