I can't answer your query on call quality but for cleaning the inside of the case, I use wipes that I use for cleaning my glasses, alcohol free and very cheapHi all
How do you clean the inner casing?
Also how is the voice quality for phone calls?

iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

The call quality is excellent for me but I am referring to WhatsApp calls happening indoors, in a very quiet environment. I also had some outdoor WhatsApp calls which were OK, when it was not windy. Indoors, I am using a 1Gbit/100Mbit extremely reliable Internet connection.Hi all

The huge issue of the GO Pod right now is that it auto-powers off after 10 minutes. So, I am not using it for phone calls until this will get resolved.
I have not yet cleaned the interior of the case but I am cleaning the GO Pods three times per week using Isopropyl alcohol (Isopropanol 99.9%) because I am wearing them on my 30-min jogging sessions. I was wondering, too, how to clean the case interior. The material used is a poor choice, I believe.
Just use a lightly dampened cloth.Hi all

I don’t think there's much need, as long as you make sure to close the lid and regularly clean your ears and wipe down your ear tips before placing them in the charger.
The voice quality during phone calls is really good.
Once a firmware update fixes the issue of calls being cut off after 10 minutes because the devices go into sleep mode, you have a winner

When will you provide a new firmware which will resolve the auto-shut down, after 10 minutes, of the GO Pod thus making it unusable for phone calls?

On this topic does this happen on all forms of calls or only on whats app calls, this is for everyone to comment on, and I am asking just so I can report this to the team that handles it.
Thanks

For me, this is happening on WhatsApp calls and when I am recording a voice message using the Recorder of my Samsung S23 Ultra. This issue is currently known and in the process of being resolved.

Why does it take them so long to resolve this?

It happens in all my regular phone calls - as soon as the call reaches 10 minutes, the devices shut down and you have to restart them, reconnect, and transfer the call back to the device again - not good during a conversationThis issue is currently known and in the process of being resolved.

And iFi , don’t forget to make the case 4mm deeper.
Meanwhile the Go Pods continue to provide me with hassle free listening on a daily basis.
The most surprising aspect for me is that they drive with ease any earphone I've tried with them
I thought they might not prove as good with the planars on my Fibae 5 but no problem at all, need to increase quite high but sound from them is excellent.
In terms of some of the 'issues'
10 minute call cut off, not a massive thing really especially given that a fix is being worked on, bit of patience is required. iFi-Audio are not Apple or Samsung etc so expect a wait. No different to waiting for fixes from the likes of Ibasso or Cayin.
As for an app, I'm more than happy without one thank you.
One of the attractions of the Go Pods for me is their simple plug and play nature

Completely agree with the sentiments! I might say that I can live without the app, but would appreciate having one. But I bought the iFi Go Pods without any expectation or promise that there would be an app, so having one would be a bonus.Meanwhile the Go Pods continue to provide me with hassle free listening on a daily basis.

Otherwise, yes, iFi is a small company with many products to support. Finding bugs, root causing, and fixing them takes time. Releasing new FW has a lot of overhead and unless there is a DOA issue they are likely to bundle up fixes before a new release. Patience is a virtue, as the expression goes.
It’s also a good opportunity for me to say that buying a complex product shortly after release should be left to early adopters with large reserves of patience, tolerance, and disposable income. If the majority of people allow the early adopters to plow the road ahead of them, they can rely on numerous reviews to judge the product quality and utility for their use model, and it allows early problems to be found and fixed before a purchase by most people. But, the number of people who would take that advice is almost certainly zero.
