Yeah, thanks. I had tried that but it's not making any difference. I also gently cleaned the pod and the case with a dry cloth in case any dust or particles had got in the case but no joy. It is kinda worrying that two of us on this thread have experienced it though. I'm sure @iFi audio and/or the ever helpful @Mr BubbaHyde will be along to assist shortly.
I just got mine today so I will surely keep my eyes peeled for this.

I do remember seeing a video some time ago where every time they placed them back into the case they did this in a bottom first, then pushed the top end down sort of way. Perhaps we could all try that and see what happens.

I would definitely put a ticket in immediately basically because if there is something a bit off we want to start a chain that can be followed. Especially if it is "lot" or certain serial number issue that is affected, so please do that here.

Just as a side note, always report stuff in a ticket no matter what it is, we are here, but its better to have a ticket in right off the bat, not only for service but it causes more attention than just the two of us here, Thanks.

Cheers!!

Now I'm worried lol. So three of us (at least) have this problem. I'm not convinced having to "push and push" to get this to work is something I want to do in case of further damage, and even if that did work who's to say it won't just keep happening.
I wouldn’t describe it as push & push. You really don’t have to push it that hard, but you have to do more than just simply placing the the earpiece into the slot. And after doing this a few times it becomes looser.

Yes, the case is not great, that point has been made, and made, and made, and made…

Looking forward to your impressions regarding sound quality, please also mention the IEMs you are using :)

Are you really this dense? They just admitted their advertising was wrong because they didn't understand the Qualcomm chipset they were using themselves. They were told Aptx HD was no longer supported yet still advertised it outside the adaptive codec which is totally different. Very few phones support the aptX adaptive so it barely helps anyone right now. It's a future feature for most.

Exactly what I stated happened. I'm glad they admitted it but you still have no idea what you're talking about and that's pretty amazing. You really don't know anything about these Bluetooth codecs at all, but please keep talking, it's amusing..
I suppose your date was a disaster. Sorry :)

Thanks, I'll raise ticket on Monday, I'm in France at the moment and don't have serial number details.

I certainly will do that!

I will preface them right now by saying not only do I have very little BT experience, but this will be my first go-round with this type of unit, so I can say that I was never a BT fan, but have used it sparingly when needed, earbuds sometimes for convenience, but nothing over 100 bucks or so.

Only listened for a brief period of time today, but I can already say I am impressed with the SQ, especially for BT, this is on a different level than I have experienced so I wanna be careful in my overall impressions.

I'm sure I will have a much better opinion by next week, The fit seems very good for me, this can be challenging with IEMS as I sometimes have to wear different tips because of ear differences, but these felt to me like I was wearing nothing around my ears, so far so good. Initial IEMS were Meze RAI Penta, very pleased!!

Cheers!!

Excellent, thank you very much, I am happy for you! :)

As an owner of 2 pairs of the UTWS5, I would like to hear from you, whenever you are ready: does the GO Pod tend to stay connected or even arbitrarily connect to your devices, for example your smartphone, after you have placed it inside its closed case? Because the UTWS5 definitely does that and it is a PITA! You will need some time, like a week, to test this.

Also, let us know if you observe the already reported issue of one ear-hook not charging, unless you push it, or something

Looking forward to your impressions.

I was that close to purchase these with the Advar but they've told me the amount of bass is a scale down from my Meze 109 Pro, and I'm listening to Electronica so I backed off.

Thanks!

I will definitely monitor these issues now that I have them, I have always been curious about the UTW, but not being a big BT fan I myself held off, I suppose I may be able to buy them for my wife, you know if she likes the GO Pods when she tries them, and strictly for comparison purposes! I mean for her, lol

The one area I always wanted to try something like these is for TV watching at night you haven't used yours with an NVidia Shield by any chance have you?

Thought I'd ask, anyone else also... Thanks

Cheers!!

If you would like to try the FiiO UTWS I'd suggest to wait until fall, as FiiO said, to try the UTWS15. Of course, when FiiO says "fall" we can expect them around December...

I am using my second pair of the UTWS5 together with the 7Hz Timeless to watch movies from my laptop when I go to sleep. I am watching from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ They sound fine to me, really nice. However, since I am watching right before I go to sleep, I do not pay much attention to sound quality. They play good, though.

I own a set of Sennheiser Momentum TWS 2, and a set of Beoplay EX. I can say with certainty that the BT connection on the Go Pod is more stable when I’m using it with my Sony DAP compared to the MTW 2s and Beoplay EX. My biggest probably with the Go Pod set I have is the touch controls not functioning properly, even after firmware update. I submitted a ticket with iFi this week. Just waiting for their response.

I think I'm gonna hold off as it's starting to sound like a beta product. Will probably be better to hop on a Gen 2 product or a UTWS5 successor.

Doest feel like a beta product to me, no issues at all in over a month

I wouldn’t say this is a beta product when looking at how it performs as a bluetooth dac/amp. However, I do think that there is plenty of room for improvement when it comes to production quality control. The unit I own has issues with the touch controls while several others have posted about issues with charging.

This is the first attempt by iFi to make such a product and we should not expect perfection right out of the gate. I think this is a very promising item and it is important for those of us who are early adopter of the Go Pod to continue voicing our user experience so iFi can take notes and make improvements on future iterations.

This is not a beta products at all but it's just a very unrefined product. It has the sound quality it's just not fleshed out enough in many other ways
