Is your GM universal or ciem?
CIEM. it wont fit in the case so I have to disconnect the CIEM from the Go Pod to close the case.

Go pods cope with controlling these headphones? is there enough power?
yes, can be easily controlled thru the touch area/buttons. but most of the time, I disable it and just control it thru the phone/gaia app.

And yes, Go pods can drive my GM pretty well. goes around 50-60% volume only

Awesome to hear this!

Thanks for the pic and the thoughts on the pairing; it should be very helpful to others considering the pairing.

Cheers!!

1) Does case charge with not closed?

2) Wouldn't continuously disconnecting CIEM from go pods affect the 2-pin fit tightness overtime?

@iFi audio hope you guys can just make the case significantly bigger. It's basically transportable at this point anyways.

1. Yes, it does charge when the case is not closed.
2. Yes, the 2-pin fit tightness will get loose overtime due to frequent disconnection from the go pods.

I used a modded 2-pin to 2-pin short cable/adapter to replace the stock adapter. And it sounds superb. Less stain at the back of your ears also

I have, and if I had anything specific to post I would have.

There are GO Pod changes in the works but in terms of what you asked no news to report.

Although this would be a logical step to me specifics have not been identified.

Will there be versions or improvements certainly but specifics won’t be known for a bit.

Cheers!!
Would that be a bigger brother or updated version this year? 😉

If I were to ask my trusty (and old) Magic 8-Ball, the answer would be...

"Outlook Good"

Cheers!!

Does it has enough power to drive Anni? what's the yellow patch for?
sofar, yes. pretty good synergy for my ears. but i have to set the volume of the Z-Fold5 at around 60-80% to make the Anni sing. :L3000:

the yellow patch - its a piece of a not so thick cloth that i made so to add thickness to the padding of the casing on top of the GoPods when placed in the charger. I've noticed that without this yellow cloth, sometines, the pods dont charge, especially when inside my bag and im on the go. it's meant to hold the pods in place in its charging port when the casing is closed.

edit:

if you look closely to the picture, you could see the markings on the GoPod embossed onnthe yellow cloth

also, since the pentaconn connector of the GoPod is long relative to the socket of the Anni, had to DIY a tiny rubber bushing (purchased online) to fill in the gap that's exposed when the Anni is attached to the GoPod. :L3000:

Has anyone tried them with the HD800?

Just curious as I've seen a few people use TW adapters with the HD800, but the iFi is actually rated for 300ohm. it would be great to be wireless even for short periods at my desk.

If price wasn't an issue, would y'all rather have the UTWS5 2025 or the iFi Go Pods? My gut tells me the iFi Go Pods are the way to go, but they still use contact charging for the earhooks, while the UTWS5 2025 charges them wirelessly. These would be used with mid-fi IEMs, Performer 5+2, Mega5-EST, etc.
