iFi audio GO pod + IEMs = brilliant wireless sound on the GO!

Been reviewing the older posts in this topic today. @Mr BubbaHyde has stated that the sensitivity setting is available in both Apple and Android versions of Gaia. Why don’t i see it? I’ve noticed that not all the menu items always display whenever I pair the Go Pods. Is there a way to get the sensitivity parameter to appear?

For the folks who are having the Red/Green Flashing issue here is some info I have gotten while Tech support is getting to you.

Flashing red and green indicates loss of contact between the left and right ears.

Please ensure that the ear hooks are as close as possible to complete the left and right interconnection properly.

Try the following...

1. Press and hold both ear hooks simultaneously for 12 seconds in the touch area to restart.

Let me know if this works for you that are affected.

Cheers!!

I am seeing this as well.

Perhaps it was removed in an updated firmware, but I will check on this for you.

Cheers!!

For the time being, if you want to update to 1.54 I recommend removing all files and folders relating to anything with older files/folders

Remove the older GAIA app

Install the new GAIA 4.2.2 which is found on our website, then download and Unzip firmware 1.54 and use the Fresh install of the GAIA app to complete.

Cheers!!

No luck.

They both went to a light blue light. The left pod (that works correctly) continued to have the LED off, and the right pod went back to flashing red and green.

Edit: I tried it with the pods back to back and again with the pods right next to each other, either way, same results.

No worries, I'm glad the team is working towards the solution.

IFi Support (Liam) closed my ticket #182933 for lack of activity. Apparently they missed my email regarding experiencing the sudden volume increases. I re-opened the ticket and updated it with my recent experiences.

I am hoping the sensitivity adjustment setting will help and waiting for @Mr BubbaHyde to investigate why that is no longer on the current IOS Gaia menu. I am running 1.5.4 and verified that is what is being downloaded from the iFi site for IOS.

I am he, lol

I do not know why personally that it is no longer there. I have asked those in higher places why this is.

I was thinking is there4 any chance you would have an Android Tablet or a Friends phone? It would only take a moment to install the GAIA app and set the sensitivity that way. Once it is set it won't change, as at least a temporary fix.

I primarily use an iPhone but have an Android tablet as well as an Un-Simmed Android phone.

Cheers!!

I found instructions on the web adding the capability to the Amazon Fire Tablet to access Android Apps (https://www.wired.com/story/how-to-install-google-play-store-on-amazon-fire-tablet/) and verified my old Fire HDX tablet has blue tooth capability. But the instructions seem difficult. It involves downloading 4 APK files at the appropriate software level to my old tablet.

@Mr BubbaHyde, did a older version of IOS Gaia have this sensitivity adjustment capability? It would be much easier for me to do a one off update with that versus going the Android route.

I have asked this question, and sometimes answers do not come as quickly as even I would like, but they do come.

In terms of older firmware, I remember there being a version on IOS, and if I posted that I can only assume it was if I posted it. But I could have been wrong so if I was I apologize.

Let's wait and see what support says before doing anything with the Kindle, that seems like more work than it should be and may not work correctly causing further issues.

Cheers!!

Bubba

@Mr BubbaHyde ,I went ahead and ordered a cheap ($200) Android table from Lenovo. I am traveling the next 2 weeks so it will be a while before I can try it. I am making a project out of adding Android capability to my Kindle this week. Learning how to use it again is half the battle. If unsuccessful, I can fall back on the Lenovo tablet. So if IOS didn't have the capability, I now will have a work around to access the sensitivity setting.

Yesterday, the volume issue did not occur at the gym, but then the Go Pods shut themselves off and back on as I was about to put them away. As no buttons were pushed, I think they may be sensitive to movement (perhaps when combined with sweat or body heat).

That very well may be, kind of why I am thinking the sensitivity may help you out.

Has support gotten to you yet?

I did the same thing a while back, as I do not use my iPhone for streaming as it is my primary phone, I picked up an inexpensive Android phone and use it on Wifi only. Comes in handy and I can use my SIM card if I have to lol.

Again Sorry for the issues, I assure you they are aware of it, If I am they are..So to Speak.

Cheers!!

Have a good travel!
