Hey folks,

To get ready for this year's shows we will be participating in I thought I would try to cobble together a list of Head-Fi member's favorite Demo material to listen to at the events. I felt this thread would be a good place to start gathering suggestions.

Simple premise, post one Song with the Artist's Name to add to the list, we mainly use Qobuz at the shows but as long as we have the necessary info I will do my best to add everyone's suggestions to the list, and will keep the thread open as long as it's manageable to do so.

Let's have some fun, Jazz, Metal, Rock, Classical, whatever you are into and would like to hear at the shows at the iFi Booth I will do my best to get this done!

Cheers!!

If you are into edm or trance, anything from L.S.G is excellent and mastered beautifully.

"all the good girls go to hell" by Billie Eilish is one of my favorite test tracks. Great bass impact and separation in the chorus, lush vocals, snappy hi-hats. Just a lil bit of everything

I always use "Plasma" by Cochise to test subbass rumble. For just an excellent rock song "Miss You" by The Rolling Stones.

I will not be there: hope that isn't a prerequisite-
I'd suggest Fleetwood Mac - The Chain
Due to being used to great effect in Guardians of the Galaxy, all generations will have this as a reference track.. (and likely have heard this song on a good system 'eg theatres' or their parents Vinyl setup.. maybe even in utero.)

The goosebumps capability will be 'right there' (Again 'key movie sequence')

Sounds great as it is simple loading on speakers (all amps and headphones will render well). track is dynamic.. (gives reasons to hear sounds erupt from silence), and has some exceptional instrumentation, using effects that are nuanced..

It isn't on my reference tracks list that tests hifis.. but if I had to contribute a song for others to enjoy as a test track.. I'd go 'this way' (.. Go Your Own Way,.. another track by the Mac but,.. only one.. and The Chain is on all ages radar' potentially.)
given the strength of the GTO filter, and 'non Sabre DACs' eg BurrBrowns still sounding musical.. I'd go with music.
If I was selling Sabre DAC chip parts I'd use EDM and 'fake sounds' for sure...
If you want to show of iFi parts- real music for the win.

Cheers. (and good luck / 'much success')
