Out of the headphones you have used / own, If you could keep 3 headphones that you would have to keep forever and never buy any more headphones, Which would you keep?

Mine would be (out of headphones I have owned) :

Over Ear

Shure SRH 1540 - Very good all rounders, comfortable, sound good with everything.
Denon D2000 - Good bass, very good for electronic music.
Sennheiser HD650 - The midrange and smooth sound is a good combination with the other 2.

IEM's

Shure SE215 - Very good all rounders, comfortable, sound good with everything.
Yamaha EPH100 - Good bass, very good for electronic music.

Shure 1540-best all rounder
HD650-best mids.
D600-best for fun(hip hop, edm, etc.)

Shure 535(beautiful mids)
Asg 2(bombastic bass, sparkling highs)
Fa4exb(amazing all rounder!)

Cool thread!

My lifestyle dictates the need for closed back with minimal sound leakage, so here's my list:

1) Audeze LCD XC (best all arounder and most musically pleasing to my ears, which also happens to be my favorite sounding Audeze cans even over the open back LCD 3 and LCD X)
2) Fostex TH900 (most comfortable and fun to listen to, great for movies, video games, livelier music, and just lounging around); honorable mention goes to Philips Fidelio X2 but that's an open back so...
3) Sennheiser Momentum (not really portable but I made it work as my portable set of cans, great all around sound, versatile with all music genres) - I'm considering replacing this with the upcoming Oppo PM-3 if I feel they are an improvement once I finally get to try one.

This should be 3 total headphones and IEMs. Keeping 6 is no kind of sacrifice LOL.

1) LCD 2.2F.  My favorite.  Good at everything.  Needs an amp.

2) HD650.  Very smooth and forgiving.  A laid back experience.  Needs an amp.

3) SRH1540.  My only closed headphones I'll need.  Excellent bass, but almost too much at times.  Low impedance and high sensitivity so can be driven from any device.
