Hey there, long time lurker... I've been looking at the Shure SE215LTDs for a while, but before I pull the trigger, I'm hoping to find someone who can compare them to the sound of the V-Moda M80s. I love my M80s, and they're my go to headphones for use around the house for "just for fun" listening. I'm hoping to find a set of IEMs with a similar sound signature to the M80s.

For anyone who's heard both the SE215LTD and the M80, do they have a similar sound? Is there something I should be looking at instead of the SE215LTD?

One could say the bass is similar, as they're more on that side of the spectrum. However, the M-80 has better and more treble, while the SE215 sounds absolutely treble anaemic to me.

That's definitely one of the things I like about the M80s, while V-Moda definitely gave the bass a bit of a bump, it's not really at the expense of the highs as so many other products I've heard seem to be. Sounds like I'll need to look at something other than the SE215LTD then.

I recommend the Astrotec AX35, take a look at that.
