I think you'd be better off with the Super.fi 5 Pro's as the Super.fi 5 EB's are too bassy, almost too overwhelming for the rest of the dynamic range. Super.fi 5 Pro's are next best IEM's with lots of bass behind the Super.fi 5 EB's and Shure E5C's.

Shure E4C (420 is the new model name? I forgot)

Rather 310
If you have Zen Micro, SF5s will prob. sound better. Zen provide extremly clean sound with recessed bass and highs. With E4cs it won't provide warm sound.

I think the UM1's look like a better solution and kinder on my wallet.

I have them, I am happy with them for their price point. You'll never think you paid too much

50 Hz isn't that hard for an IEM to generate. Almost all the IEMs I've had go down that far. (Apple in-ears, Sony EX71s, E2c, E3c, ER6i, iM616). I've also had the chance to audition my friend's Super.Fi 3 and ER4P and I'm sure those go down that far too (although the ER4P did sound kinda anemic down there probably because the highs were too much for me).

There is a huge difference between being able to hear low-frequency and feeling it. This is what I love about having a good set of headphones and speakers.

It really depends on what kind of sound character you're looking for. SF5s are pretty good set of IEMs but they're just a tad bit over your price range? SF3s would prolly be your best bet.

I agree there is a huge differnce in feeling and hearing that low end. I had though about the SF3's but was not sure. So many choices which would you say has a smoother range and has a failry good amount of low end?

I think I have narrowed it down to the SF3's and the UM1's. Of the two which has a smoother range?
