The jvcs are a good choice at the price range, I second the reccomendation.

Easy. Jvc fx101 if you want a lot of bass, jvc fx40 for more details and sparcle, the bass hits hard, highs can on the limit of harsh so you need a perfect seal and a lot of burn in.

I'm pretty sure those two from JVC are better. I'd suggest saving up your money for the JVC... if the fx101 is in you budget, then go for it...

Are the Phillips 3580 over your budget?  IMHO they are better than the FX101.

Yea, the philips she3590 (the same as the 3580 apparently) is a surprisingly good earphone. It even scales up well with better equipment believe it or not.

i got no idea what you guys are writing, but IMHO the Phillips sounds better than the M6 and FAR better than the M9.

FX40:  Pros: Very Tight Bass, A lot of Details and "Clarity" -  Cons:  A lot of Treble.
FX101:  Pros:  Tons of Bass, the bassier of the three. Cons: Mids are more recesed than the Fx40. highs are regular.
3580 :  Pros:  Very good bass,  overall the sound is better than the JVC.  IMHO    Cons: Cable makes noise
M6:  not bad, but bass lacks definition, mids are more recesed than the 3580 highs are regular. n i dont hear nothing stellar here, its ok, The Jvc gots better bass, the FX40 has more clarity and detail, the 3580 has better mids and bass.   Its an "OK" iem, but IMHO they are outshined by these new Iems( Fx40, 101 and 3580)

Matter of fact,  Joker gives the M6   6 points and the FX40 gets 7.2 points. and there is a reason why, its simply better.
 
 
But overall the 3580 is better, tighter and better bass,  mids are better.. overall the sound is better without a doubt, best buy under 20 bucks wihout a doubt.

IMO, having all these cheapos iems, get the Phillips or go with the FX40,  they both are the best under  $20 for sure.

Meelec M6 really sucks for me. sibilant and muddy. M21 on the other hand is really good.
