The Good News: I finally found tips that sounds great and are more comfortable for my ER-6i. The Shure SoftFlex are, for me, a great step up on terms of sound with a less compressed head stage feel and more defined bass. Also much more comfortable than the tri-flange as they require less depth and are made of a softer material. All this, with at least as much or more isolation.
The bad news? The damn things keep getting stuck inside my skull. The tips do fit the nozzle but are not quite tight enough to stay on as I yank out the 'phones.
Anyone have a reversible fix for this?

What size of flex are you using? The softflex, or any Shure tip, should fit pretty tight over the 6i, whose nozzle is larger in diameter thanks to the filter. And I hope you don't really mean the yanking part.

Funny, I only use Shure Softflex on both Ety er-6i, and also Altec iM716 (besides Comply foamies, when necessary) - never have a problem .............but, YOU say you YANK them out????
