Thin is an interesting term. With a warm amp and a little bass EQ, thin can be managed. I also found the Turbine bass a little bloated and too predominant. We do agree on one thing, we both gave ADDIEMs to our daughters, but I just bought her another pair from the ebay guy selling them used (actually, just B box returns) for $35 shipped.

how is the bass impact? greater than the x10?
