How sensitive/loud are the IE7's? Their 16 ohm resistance and 120 dB SPL lead me to believe that they are quite loud.

Can anyone comment on how loud they are compared to other IEMs such as the Klipsch S4 or Custom series? Also, does anyone know whether using an in-line volume control or attenuator would adversely affect their sound quality?

I'm just curious because I've found that my iPhone 4's lowest volume setting is still quite loud with certain IEMs. Thanks for the help!

The IE7's are pretty loud, but not much louder than other IEM's.  My Westone3's are even more efficient than the IE7.  I listen to the IE7 4 volume clicks higher than the W3.

I can't say what the IE7 will be like driven by an iPhone, but when I listened to them from my X series, I listened to them at 10-12 /30, and now at 22/40 on my Cowon.
