or get a portable recorder, like a zoom h4 or something like that and make your own completely clean recordings.
That can be very rewarding.
But don't forget to ask the musicians first. I know from experience that some are not too happy being recorded with out permission.

Loudness is so relative, and has little to do with sound quality.
The Batik album is a great sounding album, completely up to the usual stunning sound quality of the Sound Liaison label, and if it scores high in the DR database, great but had it ''only'' scored a 10, it would still be a great sounding download.

  The Batik album scores a 19. in the Dynamic Range Data base.(http://dr.loudness-war.info/ )
That´s an exceptional high score.
Is there an album that scores the maximum 20 ?

It is the last track on the album that has the highest score, listen here;

  If I may suggest one more Sound Liaison album;
''Thousand Shades of Blue'' is one of those albums where everything comes together,  music, sound and the sense of being there, present, right in front of the musicians.
My favorite track is Gasoa Blue, telling the legend of Ines and Pedro. But the whole album is a unique listening experience.\

In the comments to the video review of the HD 800 from inner fidelity;https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNVyrciE5no
Frans de Rond from Sound Liaison wrote;
 Making these albums we did use the HD800's for mixing and mastering. We find that the HD800's are the only headphones where one can really judge depth and placement.
 Batik; the Old Man and the Sea and Andre Heuvelman's After Silence were mixed with HD800's and Grimm speakers.
On the earlier albums we also used the AKG 702 when tracking, mainly because we still had to learn the sound of the HD800's.
I am quiet proud of the sound of  these albums. I think they  are a truly fitting the quality of the HD 800's.

Im listening to the following on my HD800s running balanced cable through my OPPO HA-1 and i think they sound great:

Simon & Garfunkel - Sounds of Silence
Depeche Mode - Ultra
James Taylor - The Essential James Taylor
The Blue Nile - Peace at Last
George Duke - Dreamweaver

Out of all these, the Blue Nile CD is absolutely incredible and well recorded.

James Taylor's voice is sounding audiophile even the recording is not. Incredible voice.
