Can one of you technically inclined Head-fi gurus answer this question? The specs for this DAC state that the number of chips is 1, the number of channels is 2, and the number of signals is 4. What are they referring to when they specify "signals"? I need to know because I took delivery of this DAC last Friday and some of the functions of JRiver MC will not work with it. Specifically, the ability to utilize the JRiver bass management features. It seems that there are not enough channels to accommodate the addition of a 2.1 option in two channel music sources. After a little research, it seems that the limited number of output channels is the reason. I'm trying to ascertain as to whether the ifi iDSD will be a better option. By the way, this DAC is superb in every respect. Build quality, packaging and SQ, all top notch. Ifi has it's act together. I realize this is a headphone oriented site ( I bought my T1 Tesla headphone based on threads I read here). But please indulge me this time because you guys seem like the knowledgeable audio aficionados who would know. Thanks.
