Icon Audio HP8 Valve Headphone Amplifier?

I get the impression some or all of it is made in china but it looks like really impressive stuff. I love those speakers and the integrated amps are pretty. I would love to hear the HP8.

From what I read Icon Audio is a UK firm which design and made its own products. Not sure if the HP8 is made in China but even if it is it look like Icon Audio has a full control on the QC as they seems to have established QC process to test the amps in UK before delivery.

But it appears to be 230-240V version only - obviously focusing on the UK /EU market for now.

Now sure if the speaker output can drive the K1000 though ?

I listened to one of those at Rik Stoet (Audio dealer in The Hague) yesterday with an Ultrasone Pro-900 (Jack Johnson - Sleep through the static) and although both the can & amp were brandnew they sounded fine. But not more than fine, so I didn't even bother to ask about the price. I'm not one who can analyze it (yet) but I found something not quite appealing. And the fit of the 900 also was not to my liking (to much pressure on one place/on top of my head). Hmm. I can always go back and try them with my own headphones.
