Thinking of putting together a mini-meet at my apt. in Queens. I live in Astoria, about a half-mile from the subway. This means that if anyone wants to bring gear, the best thing would be to organize some car action. I have a car and I can pick up.

I have the following:

Noise Outlaw Audio "Duality" 300B amp.
Stock Cary CAD 300SEI with Shuguang 300B and not very good 6sn7s.
Grado SR-80, HD600 with Equinox.
Linn Genki and Upsampled AH! New Tube.
Lots of guitars to compare the recorded tone to the real thing!

I am thinking the weekend of May 5th.

I can only fit maybe 5-8 people in my apt.

Any takers? Please reply here and list gear you might bring.

John.

Oh snap! I guess we'll have to make it a tjkurita/bozebuttons meet.

Sorry to everyone else. All full up!

Things become serious if Bozebuttons is coming.

ummm... OK. What do I do? What do you want to bring?

I was only kidding about the all full thing. All are welcome until it fills up. I don't want to make Bozebuttons lug all his gear to my place, though. So depending on what other visitors want to hear, we'll figure out how much back pain is in store for us.

I was mostly interested in hearing a selection of jjcha's headphones and if Bozebuttons is coming, the R10 would make a nice addition as well!

OK. Let's get rolling with this. Not much time...

Have we fully recovered from the national meet though?

I wonder if bozebuttons has even unpacked yet. It usually takes him weeks to do that

This is a good point.

I would be happy to postpone the meet until later, but I was thinking of doing before the weather got too hot. This way there is no ambient AC noise. My AC makes a horrendous amount of noise.

I could do sunday the 7th afternoon ,just realized I have a lot going on that weekend or a postponement would be fine.

Actually all my gear is put away & my main system is backtogether.

I am thinking of bringing a differant mix of gear.
Theta ack Dac setup,Sony DVP30
Melos,Krell Ksa5, pocket referanceII
Grado of your choice ,Maybe even the new one.
R10s if you like.

Well if bozebuttons not unpacked yet, it makes it yet the more easier for him to bring stuff since it's in boxes already

I'm not suggesting postponing nor him bring a bunch of stuff. I'll let you guys figure out what to bring. I'll listen to whatever is there.

I might need more time to make an interconnect though. It'll daisychain from bozebutton's place in Long Island to my amp in Manhattan

I'd be interested, especially given the opportunity to hear the Blackie 300B amp in a quieter and more appropriate setting (wait, was that your amp?). Keep me posted please!

I'd show up to that... dunno what I'll have ready to listen to at the time though

I'm definitely interested. I'm only a hop, skip, & a jump away!

Probably traveling via subway, so headphones are easiest to carry. I have my JVC woodies, and the AKG K270S's. I also just got an ASL UHC-Signature that I'd like to put through it's paces - it connects to standard amp terminals and uses transformers to make a headphone-out. I'd have to see what else I can carry.

OK. Here's the list so far...

tjkurita
jjcha
bozebuttons
lan
vpivinylspinner (phew that's a long, complex nickname!)
Oski
Jeff Wong
Mercuttio
jpelg

I think that's about all I can fit.

Are there any vegetarians in this group? I can get some good sandwiches for the meet.
