Any recommendations for an iBud upgrade for the GF costing less then $50-75?

It should at the very least offer some pretty good isolation though does not have to be completely isolating.

Of course also has to be girl approved.

Thanks.

The Yuin will fit your budget perfectly. Not sure if your gf like its look

Generally I find that women (even GFs) aren't that picky about looks really. If they aren't too big or overly ugly and they sound better than generic earphones It shouldn't be a big issue. However I don't know the exact woman in question so who knows.

I just want something that is above the standard iBud, offers more isolation, but not so much that she can't hear absolutely nothing around her.

Nuforce NE-7M. The inline control works with the iPod as well (at least I have read it does).
Nuforce are out of them (again!) (due to the 'Head-fi effect' and Google) 'til March 9th but you can order them now if you wish.

Kramer mod the JVC Marshmallow maybe? I've seen a lot of girls with the 'mallows lately. Low profile, okay iso, and available in pink, baby blue, or what have you for girl's colours. She may not like the pronounced bass however.

He has at least a decent isolation as one of his requirements. Yuin, as good as they are, are buds and they provide nearly nada.

I think I am leaning towards the NuForce.

Then again, I see I can get some ATH-CK7s for around $50 as well.

Mine served me so-so...they broke after about 1.5 years of use. Hmmm.
