reading up on these and wondering how they'd sound running from an unamped iPhone...

everything I've found on the 01's align with my preferred sound sig, have also had RHA MA750's on my list for some time.

I'll probably stick to my phone, prefer to travel light. have a mix of 320/WAV's and also use Apple Music for streaming. Contemplating switching to Tidal.

after reading through this thread I'm also giving the Oriveti Basic's a strong nod having more forward mid's. not sure how overblown this is or improves with burn-in..

Mids are fine on these after 75 to 100 hours and only get better after that.

To me they´re still kinda "meh" after 50 hours burn in, but I know I´ve got 150 hours to go, so...... ;)

.... I now have over 200 hours and I'm not sure exactly when it happened but the midrange has come alive and sweetened up to me. I don't find the IT01s to be a heavily V shaped IEM after 200 hours of use as some of the reviews make them out to be. I know they are not a flat reference IEM but I find them to be a full spacious dynamic thick listening experience with sometimes lush and detailed mids (depending on the recording) with edgy crisp and airy but never sibilant highs. I am enjoying them more every time I plug them in wheather it be from my DAP, phone or laptop and I hear old music come alive with new details and dynamics that I can't stop listening to.
....
Good luck and enjoy the music.

I'm with you on this, about 200 hours for mids to open up nicely. Love them to bits, when I put them on I'm having a hard time to stop listening!

Still waiting on the mids on mine to get that way. I'd guess I'm at about 120 hours. Maybe I should just stop listening to them for a few days and just stick them on my Benjie and play random songs through them for 4 days to get me over 200 hours.

How loud are you listening?

The Process works better if the sound is loud AFAIK

This is why most people don't listen to items while burning in.

The usually recommended volume is as loud as you can generally bear, then taking a 5% back. I think that this is what I've seen so far, but maybe @Paul - iBasso can tell us what works best with IT01 :smile_phones:

Thinking about returning my Fiio Fh1 and getting a second IT01 for train rides (so far it hasn't left my desktop).

Could you do a short comparison of the both please?
