I think the dx80 always has issues with album art. My DX80 doesn't show album art for some of my tracks that just uses a folder.jpg, and most if not all of my cued lists doesn't show album art.

1, always have your album art named 'cover'
2, keep the album art in the same folder as the music
3, Update all album art using mp3tag

I have no issues anymore with album art not showing :)

Agreed - fw 6 is the best of them all, sonically speaking, for my ears
There were a couple of others that 'may' suit your set up better but start with the latest

Ah, no wonder. Mine is all folder.jpg. I'm using a mac, is there a good id3 tag editor for mac?

I'm using a mac
By the way, do you clear your SD card from MacOS stuff before inserting it into DX80? You'd better do, because it may be the cause of problems!

I DONT tagg on mac as it often disappears !! - to reliably tagging (for work purposes) I only use a PC
MP3tagg for mac is one of the most reliable

I see, I don't know what you mean by clear, but I always eject them before taking the sd card out.

Okay noted, look's like I'll have to run parallels soon haha.

I mean a tool like CleanMyDrive. I'm not a Mac user, only heard about it, but Mac users often give me flash sticks, SD-cards and zip archives with junk.

Just wondering which firmware sounds best? I just brought this and currently in 1.3.

You'll hear a lot of different opinions on that. There are folks who hold onto a specific firmware version because of sound signature changes between iterations, but there are also those who adamantly maintain that there is difference at all between versions. I'm on the latest version, and I'm perfectly happy with that. Any sonic trade-offs, to my ears, are minor (if they're there), and the stability improvements are worth the update.
