Same here. Sticking to 1.1.4, got no issues and the sound is great.

Apologies everyone, it must have been down to Xmas over indulgence that 1.2.0 all seemed OK to me.

I've just tested 1.2.0 vs 1.1.14 and the difference is noticeable to my sober ears.
It sounds like the overall mid-range has been subdued, details seem to be lost in the background and the "brightness\sparkle" of the mids has been lost.
I'll be sticking with 1.1.4 for now.

I will report this. Please use the FW that works best for you.

Hi m8!

While you're at it, what's up with the changes in the sound in the new FW?

You can see people decide to roll back to the old one. Can this be resolved as well? :) Following the trail of updates, it's likely the upcoming fixes will not apply for those who choose an earlier firmware.

Thanks!

After receiving two defective DX80 (one with battery moving inside and one with faulty sd slot..i was very unlucky) i received a new DX80 directly from iBasso and it is perfect! Many thanks to Paul!! Great customer service is what makes iBasso a great company. Now it's time for some burn in and a comparison between DX80 and DX90

I downgraded to 1.14. Was re scanning card. Now DX80 is dead. Won't turn on. Battery was 100% 15 mins ago. How do I turn it back on. Help please.

Edit - got it back to life.

Could you kindly detail what you did to bring it back? Eject and reinsert SD card?
