Copy update.img to root folder of your sd card. Shut off the player. Holding volume plus on (vol+) and power press and hold both of these buttons until player starts. Standard Android recovery will be shown after a while. Scroll down to 'apply update from SDcard' pressing vol- and select it using power button. That's all. DX80 starts update.

Just installed the Lurker 1.6.0LO - very nice! Thank you for such excellent work! Paul should use your modified firmware. A very nice improvement over stock.

1.6.0L0 seems to sound better than L1 (to my ears), I thought they were supposed to have only a font difference ?

Other improvements : lossy MP3 and M4a are now much more enjoyable in a more crispier and resolving quality compared to the muddy and laidback tonality in legacy firmwares from 1.4.XL0 to 1.5.XL0

Good job Lurker0 :beerchug:

I administer all my playlists with foobar2000 and adapt the filepath for the sd card path in DX80 via powershell script for sd1 and sd2.
When I update an existing playlist in foobar2000 and try to import the updated playlist, nothing will happen. The old playlist in DX80 remains and will not be updated.
When I first delete the playlist which should be updated, the new imported playlist will not be visible :frowning2:

Hi, i have an Ibasso dx80 with original firmware 1.6, but i want to perform audio and i don't like the tree image.
It's been three days since I try to install Lurker firmware, i think i do the whole procedure but in the end i always have the original firmware. It's impossible to install.
What is wrong? I think I do everything correctly, I've tried at least 20 times.

I really, really like the sound of the new FW. To me, this is the best the DX80 has sounded.
