Nice review. I have taken off the back and it is glass. I have used very sensitive IEMs and get no hiss, odd that you get this. The Mango OS strips away all Android and has a bit better sound. The general speed in Android is as fast as my iPhone 11 Pro. Don't know how you could get faster.

You mention imaging. Odd, I get excellent imaging side, middle and layered. Much like live sound I have heard. You are on the latest firmware?

I've done this for some of the burn-in process (150 hours), and it's been fine, the unit never overheated in the slightest. Having said that, you might want to run the batteries all the way down during this phase a few times, to calibrate them.

I think they’ve been working on it for at least a year if not longer. Even if they do upsample, they‘ve shifted the market in a major way. Amazon doesn’t charge extra for HD music. Others will follow or consolidation will occur in the industry.

Tidal MQA goes 96kHz and Amazon/QOBUZ to 192 kHz... The SONY upsamples then to 352/384 kHz

I would get cables with a 4.4 plug. Better sound and far, far stronger. Why better sound? More contact, duel contacts per surface and extremely little fear of breaking off the 2.5 in the socket, which isn't that uncommon. Other than that, yes, I also have an adapter. :^)
