Improvements with this firmware:

1. Rectified the bug of a possible clicking noise when playing MQA via Tidal.
2. Rectified the button operation bug on recovery mode.
3. Rectified the bug that after renaming the folder, the songs repeat in the media library.
4. Playing MQA on UAPP is now possible.


Instructions For Firmware update:

1. Copy and paste the DX300MAX_full_ota_1.03.209.zip to your SD card's root folder, or the DX300MAX's internal memory.
2. Go to Android OS, press Settings-->System-->Updater-->local update, and tap the zip file.
3. The whole update will take about 10 minutes. Reboot the DX300MAX after update completed. You can also choose to do a factory reset at this time to clear any artifacts from the previous firmware.

Can anyone elaborate more about MQA support? I cannot see any improve in UAPP, still must use MQA plugin..

Its unfolding 16x now. Need to deactivate bit perfect mode

I did and got original bitrate 44,1/48.. (both, in “direct” and in top status bar..
What are your other settings? Also do you have now “just” MQA logo or still blue/green dot?

It is probably not available for OTA yet. I guess they are now on vacation but wanted to make the update available as soon as possible. OTA should follow.

Couldn’t do Firmware update via MAX System Updater so I did a Local Update.
Yay! Worked first time! Thanks Whitigir for the video! It was most helpful as my last attempt at a Local Update was a complete s&*t show
Now running successfully and attempting to hear any differences from the last Firmware. Sounds OK so far though.

When I had the 220max, I bought a VALENTINUM case for full protection (over the screen).
So while I am waiting for any new cases to appear for the 300max, I looked around and found this nice "hard case" to put the unit in for transport and no worries:


So I received it (finally) and it does look nice, and slightly bigger perfect dimensions than the unit (but 2X thicker), so when a new leather case arrives, I can still put the unit in.

Another alternative is the leather Hengwin phone belt bag that fits the 3Max Ti with fitted original case perfectly. It also has two outside zipper pockets that are a good fit for my Dunu Luna iems. Has a strap supplied and a clip as well as a best loop.
Only $25 on Amazon. Three color choices and I have Coffee. Size 4.3X1.5X6.8inches.
