Faulty batteries ? In Dx220Max ? That video is a Dx220, not a Max ***, but I agree, you should save for a DMP Z1

Or find a DX300MAX and get better sound. IMO and at far less cost.

In relationto 220Max or DMap? I think DMP has a summit-fi SQ, speciqlly get a Z1 if amazon offers montly payments

An you elaborate kore ? How ia DX300M better than DMP? I personally dont use streaming services. Use my local files which are 16/44.1 - 24/352.8 FLAC and DSD. Other rhing from Max android. Mmmh since moving to Apple iPhone i can select my privacy settings like app and site tracking (Google loves to spy and gather all what they can about you). And lastly maybe is DX220M but it has many Quality control issues judging by pist of RMAs

I found that the layering on the DX300Max is a little more layered and better imaging of the layering. More solid bass and just a bit more transparent.

Thanks i will evaluate it for my needs. Also 300Max has only one SD slot? I ask this as my library is spanned in two 1.0TB cards (1.44T lib size like 62257 tracks)

One Micro SD slot. 1TB of music at a time is more than enough for me. And then you could use an OTG.

I wanted to get @purk ibasso DX220MAX-W. But after what @ExpatinJapan says abiut faulty batteries and @purk himself of his DX300MAX no sound issues. Decided to decline his offer and instead save up for a DMP-Z1

LOL!!! I thought so!! The batteries in the max is also easy to replace, but the back plate and it glued on may be some problem….I freaking hate it

I'm listening to the DX220M (Gain: High; DAC Volume: 130) + Meze Empyrean + Stock balanced cable + Qobuz streaming. This is my daily setup and I'm really enjoying it. Can it get better than this?

I use a similar charger, 65W from Baseus, along with 15V Type-C to barrel decoy cable (mentioned in this thread many times). Both purchased off AliExpress a long ago.
