I have been using the Line Out of the DX170 and have been very pleasantly surprised. The LO is excellent. Wonderful layering and musical. If you haven't tried it, please do. Otherwise, the DX170 also power most of my headphones and IEMs without issue but fun to add in a different amp at times.

I just received my dx170 and is working.
One minor flaw. The qobuz-app keeps crashing. Which version is the stable one? (Not the most recent, I think).

It started working for me after a reboot.

Did you go for the grey, too?

Had fibre to the premises installed yesterday for 500mb internet, woke up this morning to a red light. No internet. Made me regret not downloading any music! Thankfully my father lives 5 minutes down the road so popped over to his to download some albums to see me through to tomorrow when the engineer visits. Laura Mvula sounding splendid through the DX170 and TH900 :sunglasses:

Can someone educate on where to enable NOS mode?

Here are the 5 filter options 😃👍
Thanks!

I gotta say, I'm a little blown away at the moment. The N3Pro has that nice warm analogue tube sound under ultra linear mode with that lush mid range and I think the DX170 keeps pace with that sonic profile with NOS mode with slightly more resolution and wider soundstage. The N3Pro sounds a bit more intimate where the DX170 takes the sound a little further out of your head. The UI and Mango player is a way better user experience than the N3Pro. It surprisingly recognized all my .m3u playlists without me having to recreate all of them again! NONE of the DAPS I've owned to date made it this easy. Cayin, Shanling, FiiO, Sony none of them made it this easy. More to come but I'm very happy with it so far.

Now I understand why people say the dx170 is musical and wonderfully layering. On the Solaris 2020 it's beautiful. Highly resolving, still fun and somewhat neutral across the range with tinges of warmth. BT is definitely better than N3Pro but not by much. Both N3Pro and dx170 are extremely close sound wise but I still give the upper hand to dx170 for stage, depth, and layering. N3Pro is more warm and slightly more analogue with tube mode, more airy and alittle more intimate. Both are excellent DAPs but I'll likely switch to the dx170 for my daily driver since BT is better, software is better experience and less buggy than the N3Pro.

Anybody know where I can purchase additional screen protectors? Searched Aliexpress and could not find any for the DX170. The two that they included in the case messed up because lint and dust SOMEHOW managed to get underneath as I was applying the protector (annoyingly), got frustrated trying to remove them but nearly impossible so had to toss both of them out.

Hello.
I have the same problem with two recently purchased DX 170s in a few weeks: they both restart when I turn them off with a USB C stick connected. It happens with all my many USB C sticks! And all them work fine on my DX 160.

Has anyone had this problem?

Is it something I can fix on my own?

I will be very grateful if someone gives me the solution before returning the item to the seller.

Ibasso knows this issue and will fix it with the coming firmware. Check a few pages ago.

Hello Music225.
Thank you very much for the information. I hope that with the new firmware it will be solved. The after-sales services seem to be unaware of such a defect.
All a bit strange, like the fact that on the official website there is no information about the 170 (?).

A few pages back the owner of Ibasso reply about this issue. Also they are not quick on updating their website, happens with 160 as well.

My Hiby R5 S allows you to choose the music player to open files from the "Files" app, even with its native music player. As seen in the photo attached.

The DX 170 does not open songs from the "Files" app, even with Mango Player. Is it perhaps necessary to install a third-party music Player app?
