No, you will be able to. You just need to download the Google Play APK.

It will have a third party app store on it out of the box. You can use that app store to download apps, or use it to install the Google Play Store. You can also use the web browser to download and install apps or a different third party app store if you want.i assume on the dx170 you can download and stream via qobuz. but i don't see the google store app on the provided screenshots, so how would one download the qobuz app.

great. thanks for the responses.
I think this might be the one to finally replace my aging LG V30, and become my first foray into the world of DAPs.

I really want to pre order it. But the 2gb ram telling me to wait for reviews. As great as DX160 sound, it leaves me craving for responsiveness, at least for streaming flatforms. It's 2022, this needs to be achievable at this price point.I think this might be the one to finally replace my aging LG V30, and become my first foray into the world of DAPs.
Although that and android 11 are the main reason I'm tempted to upgrade

Right now I don't believe there are any Android players under $500 USD that have more than 2GB of RAM, so if you're looking for more you have to be willing to spend more:
2GB of RAM:
iBasso DX170 - 2GB RAM, Android 11, RK3566 - $449.00
Hiby R5 Gen 2 - 2GB RAM, Android 8.1, Snapdragon 425 - $449.00
Shanling M3X - 2GB RAM, Android 7.1, Snapdragon 430 - $369.00
*iBasso says the RK3566 SoC they are using is much faster than the Snapdragon 425 or 430, so that combined with Android 11, I would say this player is the best value in it's price range (if you are willing to sacrifice battery life). Of course we don't really know how the iBasso sounds or performs compared to the other 2 yet.
More than 2GB of RAM
FiiO M11 Plus ESS - 4GB RAM, Android 10, Snapdragon 660 - $699.00
Hiby R6 2020 - 4GB RAM, Android 9, Snapdragon 660 - $799.00
iBasso DX240 - 4GB RAM, Android 9, Snapdragon 660 - $949.00
Shanling M7 - 6GB RAM, Android 10, Snapdragon 665 - $1,249.00
iBasso DX320 - 6GB RAM, Android 11, Snapdragon 660 - $1,599.00
Shanling M9 - 8GB RAM, Android 10, Snapdragon 665 - $2,799.00
FiiO M11S
Qualcomm Snapdragon 660
Android 10
Ram - unknown
$499.99

Which is more of a reason to wait for reviews. They can say whatever to brush up on the new products, only real experience matters. Price in Europe from local dealer is above 500 eur, 539 for me. The Dx160 if someone can find the remaining stock, is still the best value for this price range. Even the 240 or 320 doesn't yield a significant improvement in sound quality. Without the much needed extra 2gb ram upgrade, the dx170 will need hands-on experience to confirm improved ux so that it can convince consumers it's worth the extra charge. Switching from phone to dx160 feels increasingly horrible the longer I have it. I can give it a pass in 2019. Would not be excusable 3 years later. Heck if no one is doing it at this range, the first one to do it wins.iBasso says the RK3566 SoC they are using is much faster than the Snapdragon 425 or 430, so that combined with Android 11, I would say this player is the best value in it's price range

Can you please do the ui responsiveness test with some streaming flatform like Spotify, tidal, etc? Thank you.e ui videos on wifi speed test (5G).

Spotify I would say, their UI is one of the best. Except for the push for podcast contentsWhich one is most reliable (Tidal seems spotty between updates) - and has a free trial - thanks
