It depends also on sensitivity. Here you can calculate yourself. And see what the max output is in MW.

https://www.headphonesty.com/headphone-power-calculator/

According to the calculator it can drive the HD600. Which is a power-hungry can. (I don't own it anymore.)

I tried it with both HD6XX and HD58X. The DX160 can drive the HD58X really fine but the same cant be said with the HD6XX. It can sure play the HD6XX but ilthe DX160 cant make it sing.

SE only. We do not have any balanced cable or connector when we were doing the test
Well, out of SE they wont sing because you are only able to get about 400mw, if you went with balanced they would because your looking at about 1.2w.

dx160 is driving my T1v2 (600ohm) totally fine.Using my own custom cable with 4.4 pentaconn. This was the one of the reasons to keep it. Max is like on 60 with high gain.

Its a good thing they are really efficient, still it is hard to believe something with that sort of resistance can be driven out of a portable DAP. Amazing how far tech has come.

I am trying to play directly using the 4.4mm out. No usb audio device connected.
To better help you, we need to understand exactly what you are using/doing. Some questions:
1) Are you using STOCK IBasso Software? What version of firmware?
2) Have you installed LURKER firmware? If yes, what version?
3) Are you trying to use UAPP ? If yes, what settings? (FYI, UAPP stands for USB Audio Player PRO)
4) Are you trying to use MANGO Player.
5) What player are you trying to use if not UAPP, or MANGO ?
6) PLease be as detailed and complete as to what exactly you have installed and are using. Thanks for your help.

I am using the lurker rom 1.04.150-L1.26b3
I have mango, UAPP and tidal installed. This is occuring when I am trying to play master quality on tidal app. It stops and opens UAPP but nothing else happens. If I uninstall UAPP, it just stops and does nothing. Changing the playback quality to Hifi plays without issues.

Could it be that you have USB Audio Enabled in the USB audio app?

I can't play Master Tidal files when it's Enabled.

Also. Check if you are using a geniune pentaconn connector with 4.4mm balanced out. Generic 4.4mm connectors may cause issues.
